BLURB:
Do dragons have soul mates? Brinley Adams is pleased to get a job as assistant to elusive and reclusive billionaire Lindrom Drage. That the job requires him to live in the man’s home in the country is only a bonus. While he’s not exactly running away, he’s trying to leave behind a crazy, stalking ex, and Drage’s isolated home might be just the place to hide. Lindrom Drage, known at home as Dragon, just wants an assistant who works out for longer than a month or two. He’s already gone through several in the last year, and he wants someone who can do the job and put up with his refusal to deal with anything that takes him out of his home. But when he meets Brin, he suddenly wants so much more than just a work assistant. Brin feels the pull between them as strongly as Dragon does, but Brin doesn’t know Dragon’s true secret – the man is actually a dragon and he believes that Brin is his mate. The trick is going to be convincing Brin that neither of them is crazy, and that not only are dragons real, so are soul mates.
REVIEW:
Lindrom Drage, otherwise known as Dragon, just wants to be left alone. He also wants to stop replacing his assistants every few weeks; it really isn’t that hard of a request. When his newest assistant shows up at his door, however, Dragon finds himself wanting the man for everything except his ability to answer a phone. While Brin may have taken the job in order to escape a bad situation, Dragon plans on doing everything in his power to make the younger man stay and with the attraction simmering between them, that looks as though it will be an easy accomplishment. Now all he has to do is find a way to tell Brin that Dragon is more than Lindrom’s name, its what he is.
I can always count on Sean Michael to deliver an easy, kinky, entertaining read that I’m sure to enjoy. I liked the set up for Brin’s character, taking the job to escape an ex-boyfriend turned stalker, and Dragon was, well, a dragon so it was pretty much a guarantee that I’d like him too. Lol I thought the characters fit well together; Dragon gave Brin safety and a chance to be loved while exploring all the things he’d only dreamed about while Brin accepted all of Dragon without hesitation and with a great deal of enthusiasm. 😀
The setting itself was kind of neat and I really liked how it was apart from the rest of the world, so to speak, though it was a little disappointing that I didn’t get to ‘see’ more of the mansion as I was given a nice description of the outside but didn’t get much in the way of the interior. The story moved along at a fairly steady pace with a few small time skips that you don’t even really notice until they’ve been mentioned and the transitions were nice and smooth. The initial getting together does happen fairly quickly but I was expecting that so it didn’t bother me at all. There is a lot of sex in this, also expected, but it was nice to see some things brought into the story in the way of kink that I hadn’t seen before. All I can say is: that chair though. Seriously. I don’t want to spoil that so I’m afraid you’ll have to read the story if you want to know what I’m talking about. lol
There was very little that I didn’t like about this story as I enjoyed the characters as well as the overall setting and I’m pretty much always up for a bit of kink. 😉 I do wish there had been a little something with the ex-boyfriend but it wasn’t necessary for me to enjoy the story itself. I liked the characters and the setting quite a bit and this was overall a nice afternoon’s diversion. If you like your shifter stories with a bit of kink, have enjoyed Sean Michael before, or just want to read anything featuring a dragon, I’d recommend giving this one a try.

Thanks for the review. I was on the fence about buying this book. I think I’ll be adding this to the TBR pile.
