Don’t judge a book by its cover….
At over six feet, with a body honed in the gym, auto worker Donavan Gregory is used to people assuming he’s a dominant top. Unfortunately, they’re wrong, and Donavan’s desire to explore his submissive side goes unfulfilled.
Smaller and older than Donavan, Doctor Seth Manning might not look like a typical dominant, but when the two men meet at Pride, Donavan realized Seth might be his perfect counterpart. The trouble is, Donavan doesn’t have as much experience with the BDSM world as he’d like. What could an educated, handsome, and confident man like Seth possibly see in someone like him? Seth must convince him that despite the differences on the surface, when it comes to kinky fun and discovery, they’ll fit together just fine.
REVIEW:
I think there’s a consensus…this was probably the least angsty BDSM story that I’ve ever read. Every time I expected a huge misunderstanding these two characters worked it out before it could evolve. For being only 25 Donavan was surprisingly very mature. What also surprised me was how well Seth and Donavan fit together. Like I mentioned I was waiting for Donovan’s insecurities to play a factor but they really didn’t. He was able to calm himself down and trust in Seth. This was a refreshing and incredibly enjoyable read….while also being very naughty…!!
Donavan Gregory has been submissive for as long as he can remember. But being a bigger, muscular guy his partners tend to see him as dominant so when he meets smaller, Dr. Seth Manning he figures he’ll be the same way.
Seth is dominant to his core and Donavan brings out all kinds of Alpha male instincts. Together these two are explosive and 2 perfect halves to a whole. The balance between Seth and Donavan is mesmerizing to read. These two characters just work together so incredibly well, and I’ll say it again I wasn’t expecting this to be such an easy transition for them.
This story has incredibly hot BDSM scenes, friggin explosive sex and two characters who communicate with each other. If you, like me were expecting the huge miscommunication/misunderstanding blow up scene you will not find it here. These guys just work without having to force it.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I’m really looking forward to the other Underground Club books. What a great start to what appears to be an amazing series.
Recommend.
