BLURB:
Three years ago investigative reporter Parker Davidson barely survived a brutal attack by his psychopathic ex-boyfriend. It’s given him a dim view of romance.
When Parker’s ex escapes from a maximum security prison, LAPD Lieutenant Henry Stagge is tasked with making sure that Parker doesn’t end up a victim a second—and final—time.
Most cops believe Parker got what he deserved, but over the course of a few very tense hours, Henry begins to wonder if there’s more to Parker than he thought.
Second chances happen in the strangest places—and at the strangest times.
REVIEW:
This was 50 pages of page turning, couldn’t stop reading entertainment. I’m going to join the pack and say, I NEED more. This was incredibly exciting and mildly suspenseful. This story takes place in the span of one night. There is no sex but the chemistry between the characters was powerful. You can just see by the way they interacting they would be explosive in bed.
Henry and Parker are thrown together under scary, uncertain, and stressful circumstances. It’s obvious from the onset that there is an attraction between the two main characters but it’s also very obvious that due to those same circumstances nothing can happen between them until the threat is over.
There is high emotion packed into this super short story. But I think that makes it all that much more enthralling.
I would love to read more about these two. Go into this book knowing its super short, but also satisfying.
Recommend.
