Thou shalt not covet thy host’s submissive
When a Domme loves a Domme, strange things can happen. When a Domme loves a Domme who is her former submissive and cheated with her best friend, all of the usual fun with handcuffs turns into something darker.
Graciela struggles to control her attraction to the headstrong, beautiful woman who broke her heart ten years ago. She offers temporary shelter to a fellow human in crisis, nothing more. But when Trinity buckles under Graciela’s righteous anger and begs for forgiveness, Graciela’s resolve wavers. Can she ever trust again? Does Trinity deserve a second chance, or is this yet another manipulation?
REVIEW:
I have learned a new term with this book…Littles. I had no idea what it was. I also learned, after reading and researching this type of age play, that it is most definitely not my thing.
Graciela is a Professional Domme. She rescues a young woman from an abusive, homophobic ultra-religious family. She then learns that Trinity isn’t even 18 years old yet! Graciela enlists the help of her best friend, an ER Doctor named Jessie to get Trinity checked out, after Graciela gets her away from her father who was hitting her with a golf club and kicking her with steel-toed boots. She learns the girl is turning 18 in one week.
Mistress on Her Knees is told over the span of 15 years. From rescued teenager, to roommate, to submissive/lover, to cheater, to Domme/Nurse, to submissive, it tells the tale of love lost and redemption. It is set in both the United States and Seoul, Korea.
Although the characters are rich and wonderfully written, I just didn’t connect to them. I don’t know if it is the cheating, the spanking (I am not a fan of a lot of corporal discipline or even sensual spankings, in excess), or the whole submissive to Domme back to submissive. I am definitely not a fan of “Littles” play. I just don’t like the lines crossed with parent/child…even in play and even without it being incest, which this is not.
This was just not a trope that I will read again. It was a well written BDSM book…but not an area that I enjoyed.
