Ok, let’s get this party started and just say….DAYUM!!!
I don’t think I’ve EVER read a book so damn slowly. I wanted to catch up with our boys and see what the FUCK was gonna happen next. I always say that these books get better and better and HOLY HANNAH….Charlie Put Her Damn FOOT in this story.
From the very FIRST words after Chapter 1…I was hooked. I didn’t put that book down until I finished it. I had to wait about 5 minutes after the book ended before I could even write anything. Hell…I’m still unsure what to say.
Wowzers, this book had it ALL!!! It has passion…cuz let’s face it….Dex and Sloane…they put off some MEGA HEAT!!! The love scenes between these two were just really freaking sexy and sensual. I can’t even begin to tell you!!
Dex and Sloane were put through the ringer with this story. I mean…Charlie really made our boys WORK for their HEA!! Well, at least in this story. I was hurting for Dex as well as Sloane the Entire book. Dex…because of what was happening to him. The torture…his health…about his parents. Dex was in a world of hurt. Yet, in true Dex fashion…he managed to come out on top. Our Dex is made of sterner stuff than I think that he was aware of. I swear, I think I just fell more in Love with Dex. After everything that happens to him…Dex surely came out of it Stronger and Courageous than before.
Sloane…well, our guy just hurts my heart sometimes. Sloane has his issues…as we all know and I swear…My Boy, Ash…Brought It to Sloane. As we know…Sloane has some issues with believing that his relationship with Dex is real and that he it won’t last. He does his Broody Bear thing and yeah, I wanted to smack him in the forehead…but I Love Sloane and I know that he Always gets to where he needs to be.
Our cast of characters, Ash, Cael, Hobbs, Cal, Letty and Rosa all made appearances. But My Sweetheart, Ash and Cael played a major part in this story cuz…it’s Cael…our resident sweetie and brother of Dex and My Heart…Ash who is in a relationship with Cael and is Sloane’s Bestie. Tony…I need more Tony. Now, Tony was in here a fair amount, but Never as much as I want him to be. Raising Dex and Cael….that Man…He totally deserves a metal. Sparks…that Lady is so Damn Bad Ass…I really am starting to like her more and more. Sparks is not only Kick Ass as their boss and as a TINS Operative…She is Powerful in her own right. I have to say…there is MORE to this Woman than you thought and I Swear…Charlie…You HAVE to give me more Sparks!!!
The action in this book was just Amazing and I was breathless a couple of times wondering what the Hell was gonna happen next!!
This book is a bit darker than the others, to me anyway…in the sense that the things that are happening and they are about to get worse for our gang. I can only say that while reading this story and then in writing this review…some Serious Shit is gonna happen and I’m scared for our Gang. But…I hope that Charlie won’t rip my heart out too much.
I have to say…I know I go on and on about how much I Love these books. I can’t seem to help myself. Charlie writes these INCREDIBLE Characters that you fall in Love with and you just start caring so much for them,..I Swear…Ash is my Spirit Animal…that I can’t get enough. I reread or listen to the audiobooks whenever I need a fix.
This book has it All…I swear, action, romance, adventure, suspense/mystery…you get so much more that…you go on an Adventure with your Favorite Cheesy Doodle, Gummy Bear Loving Guy as well as our Favorite Broody Bear as their relationship
