REVIEW:
Cole and Morgan Caldwell have been on their own since they were children after their parents died. They lived with their aunt Sandy who never saw anything wrong with the fact that Cole and Morgan slept in the same bed. For years it was only a comfort thing until they moved out into a flat. Then Morgan realised he was sexually attracted to Cole and felt so ashamed he asked for nightshift to avoid sleeping in the same bed as Cole. Unbeknownst to Morgan, Cole was so deeply affected by the way everything changed at home with Morgan distancing himself that he sought out a man to replace Morgan in his bed, only it didn’t work out the way Cole wanted and he ended up being raped. That was the turning point for the brothers. They both admitted to being in love with each other and they’ve been living with and loving each other ever since.
Cole is walking home when he finds Robby Miller, a prostitute who has been beaten and raped and left in an alley. Robby was with a “trick” who was a ‘friend’ of his pimp Vince. The man raped Robby with various kitchen utensils in between beatings. Cole takes Robby home to get him cleaned up since Robby refuses to go to a hospital. Cole has to not only tell Morgan that he’s found a beaten up prostitute who refuses to go to a hospital but he’s bought him home and he’s now asleep in the spare bedroom! Heaven forbid if Morgan realises how attracted he is to Robby considering the fact that he’s never been attracted to anyone but Morgan.
Morgan can see why Cole finds Robby attractive, under the scrapes and bruises he gorgeous but they’ve only ever slept with each other. The more time he spends with Robby the more he likes him and the more he finds he wants to see if there could possibly be anything between the three of them.
There are a lot of twists and turns in Cops and Robby that you really don’t expect. If you can get past the fact that this book is about two brothers having sex with each other because the storyline’s main focus is not about the brothers so much as it’s about Robby and how he came to be in the situation he was in when Cole found him, then I think you will really enjoy the story.
