When Ryan is unexpectedly reminded of the life he happily walked away from, his world is turned upside down when he gets notice of news that he never expected to hear. Ryan is tormented by what is being asked of him; the very thing he was promised would never be asked of him again.
A man Nico once knew returns, and Nico wishes he’d never caught up with Lyle. His ploy to keep Lyle away from Ryan fails and Lyle tells all about his previous connection to Nico. Ryan takes off, leaving no clues as to where he’s gone and Nico is devastated believing that Ryan has left him.
When Ryan finally returns home; so does his past and he is forced to visit an old friend. But things are not what they seem and Ryan must fight as hard as he can to keep himself safe.

I love a good love story and always want a happy ending.
I live quietly in the Lincolnshire countryside, with my own heart-throb and my crazy dog.
Waking up when the sunlight hits the bed, I feel like I have a heavy weight on my chest and snakes coiling in my belly and for a moment, I don’t remember why. Then, Ryan! The thought of Ryan fills my mind and pain rips through me. Blinking as my eyes open, I try to adjust to the bright sun filling the room as I look around.
“Fuck! Jesus, you scared the crap out of me!” My hand is on my chest as my heart pounds frantically inside of me. Ryan is sitting on the chair by the window, he’s in leathers, and he has a crash helmet on the floor by his feet. Thank God he went and got himself another one.
“Ryan.” My voice is hoarse and nervous as I try to speak making me cough to clear my throat. “Ryan, oh God you came home, thank fuck you came home.” I push myself up to sit up, my knees are bent with my feet flat on the mattress. I run my hands through my hair and down my face before looking at him again, he looks beautiful but tired. His face ragged and raw with pent up emotion, is it rage or sadness? I won’t know until he speaks and he doesn’t look ready for that.
“I need a shower.” Is all Ryan says then standing up he moves away from the window but instead of heading to our adjoining bathroom he heads out of the room. I hear the sound of another door being opened then closed as he enters another bathroom. Shit! Flopping back down in bed with my head hitting the pillows I’m motionless and clueless. I really don’t know how to handle this?
This series will be the first books I’ve read by JJ Harper. Looking forward to all 3 of them!!!
