REVIEW:
This was the perfect story about good vs. evil and second chances. I am a huge fan of this author and the stories she writes always seem to stay with me. This one will be no exception. I truly enjoyed every element and aspect of the way this story was told. It was unique and completely pulled me in from the very beginning.
Brody Sanders had a great childhood full of hopes and dreams until he met his abuser, Matt. Being so young he didn’t comprehend the mental abuse that was happening to him. Mistaking homicidal obsession for love and devotion Brody was sucked into utter emotional chaos for several years. In adulthood Brody has come to realize things were not what he thought they were and he’s trying to pick up the pieces of his life and start fresh.
Aden wakes up from a shit life, dead and confused. After meeting 2 unforgettable characters Aden is thrown back into the world of the living set on turning his shit life into something good and remarkable.
Aden and Brody meet at a juncture in both their lives where they believe things really couldn’t get any worse. All the things these two have in common combined with their incredible attraction leads to both men not being able to keep their hands off each other.
I loved Brody and Aden together. You can see emotional scars on both men. This is emotionally a tough book. Unimaginable abuse from the people you are supposed to trust the most in the world. But these two strong men come out the other side; strong, capable and good.
From the beginning you want nothing but the best for and from them. You see so much good and so much pain. This is a painful and hopeful story that is beautifully written.
I adored it, so much. Absolutely recommend!!
