Dustin Charleston has just been traded to the Arizona Hares hockey team. As an otter, he’s not too pleased by this. Arizona is dry, he’s leaving his home behind, and he has to move in with a stranger. Things take an even steeper plunge when he meets his roommate. Chandler Kipling is the captain of the Hares, a least weasel, and he’s got a bit of a thing for his new teammate. Too bad that teammate seems to hate him. And Chandler’s romantic strategies leave something to be desired. Will Dustin be able to get the message he’s trying to send? With a little time, their nightmare might turn into a dream—if they can get past their differences.
REVIEW:
Dustin Charleston has been traded to the Arizona Hares hockey team and he’s not happy! Dustin is an otter shifter and Arizona is a long way from the water. When Dustin arrives in Arizona the first person he see’s is Chandler Kippling, captain of the Hares and a person Dustin dislikes intensely. Not only does Dustin not want to be in Arizona, he definitely doesn’t want to be anywhere near Chandler Kippling who it turns out is a least weasel!
Although Dustin doesn’t want to be in Arizona or play for their hockey team, the one thing he has to admit is that the players understand and accommodate all of the different shifters habits. It takes time but Dustin begins to get along with his team mates and he even learns to tolerate Chandler. As the months pass Chandler begins to act very strangely around Dustin. It takes Dustin a long time to realise exactly what Chandler is doing.
Chandler is courting Dustin!
All-in-all, To Arizona is about showing you that even though you might not want to do something or go somewhere, if you do it can turn out to be the best decision you ever make. Dustin didn’t want to go to Arizona, he was prepared to hate the place and the people. In the end, when Dustin opened himself up to the possibility that this may just be the place and the people for him, that’s when he finds what he wants most, love and a family.
So remember, don’t close yourself off from exploring all possibilities life has to offer.

This has been one of my favorites of the series – love the characterizations of lesser-utilized shifters! Especially loved the home modifications Dustin made at the end:)
Ooh, a hockey boy! Gotta have it…
A weasel and an otter! What’s not to like?
Otters are so cute! I love to read about otter-shifters
Sounds like a cute story. Haven’t seen many stories with otter or weasel shifters =)
