Welcome Elizabeth 🙂
Six books, five years, two men: the family of Sentries.
Hello, I’m Elizabeth Noble. Thank you so much to Dani and everyone at Love Bytes Reviews for hosting me today.
The next and final installment of my Sentries series, Ringed Love was released today by Dreamspinner Press (yay, go me)!
Of all the books I’ve written this one was the most difficult. Todd and Nick Ruger are a family and in a way they’ve become family to me as well. I know, that sounds a bit nuts but I have no other way to describe it. Telling the Rugers’s story has made me think: what makes a family?
Todd and Nick aren’t your traditional family, but don’t tell them that! Very early on in the first book of the series, Marked Yours, Todd and Nick developed an incredibly strong bond. In every book that bond is tested in some way. It bends, but doesn’t break. The reason is simple, these guys became a family. It doesn’t simply happen, however. They work at it. Part of their union is a healthy physical relationship. All couples should find a way to spend quality time with each other and Todd and Nick are no different. Their appreciation and adoration of each other sees them through the changing times of their lives. Each man respects his partner’s beliefs and they work together to achieve their goals.
When couples marry or otherwise commit to each other they’re not related by blood, but they do become a family. Todd and Nick were no different. Throughout their lives they’ve put each other first, loved without reservation and always accepted each other no matter what.
In Ringed Love we see that commitment to being a family brought to the forefront and shown at different stages in Todd and Nick’s lives. We see them in happy times and when disaster strikes and they always support each other in every way. There is still action, adventure and supernatural bad things to battle. Throughout the book an underlying theme of the family Todd and Nick have created is there, a steady constant in their lives. They’ll always have each other and to them that’s the most important thing of all.
Blurb
New Colorado Protectorate fell with the assassination of Chancellor Clarke. Like many others, Todd and Nick Ruger left the land of their birth and made a home to the north in Yellowknife. Their world was ever changing. The time came to say a sad farewell to some of their friends and loved ones, but they were taken in with open arms by others and in turn offered shelter to yet more. Through the years they remained steadfast in their duty as sentries to protect and defend those that needed it the most.
Time marches on but through it all they hold each other dear and cherish the love they’ve shared. There are still angry ghosts, Windigos and water spirits to contend with. Their lives change, offering them new roles. When the time comes, they do what sentries have done for generations prior and teach others the skills to carry on as sentries. The Rugers lives were rich and their hearts full with their devotion and love for each other. The tradition of the sentries lived on forever. It was the legacy of Todd and Nick Ruger. That was the way it was always meant to be.
Easing out of Nick, Todd moved one hand around and gripped his cock, pumping until Nick was begging for release.
“Okay, Nicky,” Todd whispered. Nick’s entire body seized and jerked, his arms and legs shook, and Todd felt his heart hammering.
After a few minutes, Todd untied Nick’s wrists and chuckled when Nick stretched and murmured, “Need coffee now.”
“Then I guess you volunteer to make coffee and breakfast, and I get first shower,” Todd snickered and ducked away when Nick took a halfhearted swing at him. He leaned closer again, hooked one elbow around Nick’s neck, rubbed the top of his head, then kissed the same spot before darting away again.
Very soon the aroma of brewing coffee filtered through the shower. Finished, he dried off and pulled on some fresh clothes, then wandered to the kitchen. Nick pulled a pan from the oven.
“We had some of those rolls from the new place Sal’s kids opened up, so I reheated them.” Nick poured Todd some coffee and set a plate of rolls and some butter onto the table. “You know, I was thinking. If we play our cards right, I bet we can eat most of our meals at all the diners and hardly need to cook for ourselves.”

Elizabeth Noble started telling stories before she actually knew how to write, and her family was very happy when she learned to put words on a page. Those words turned into books and fanfiction that turned into a genuine love of M/M romance fiction. Being able to share her works with Dreamspinner is really a dream come true. She has a real love for a good mystery complete with murder and twisty plots as well as all things sci-fi, futuristic, and supernatural and a bit of an unnatural interest in a super-volcano in Wyoming.
Elizabeth has three grown children and is now happily owned by an adorable mixed breed canine princess and her sidekick, tabby cat. She lives in her native northeast Ohio, the perfect place for gardening and winter and summer sports (go Tribe and Cavs!) and stargazing all year long. When she’s not writing she’s working as a veterinary nurse, so don’t be surprised to see her men with a pet or three who are a very big part of their lives.
Elizabeth received several amateur writing awards. Since being published two of her novels have received honorable mentions in the Rainbow Awards. Her novel Jewel Cave was a runner up in the 2015 Rainbow awards in the Gay Mystery/Thriller category.
