REVIEW:

Without a doubt, book 2 is my favorite so far of the series!! I absolutely loved the dynamic between Seth and Ronan. I was so scared that Seth would always be second best, but this author sold me on this relationship and I believed and felt every single bit of it. If you don’t like angst then I don’t think this story is for you. This is angst at its absolute finest but I am an out and proud angst-aholic. I need it and I love it! Sloane Kennedy gave it to me in spades and I loved it!

Seth Nichols lost his family to horror at a very young age. Having survived the violence himself he knows pain and anguish. Being left alone most of the time he battles high levels of anxiety finding just going through everyday situations a trial, at times.

After a violent assault that left his fiancé dead, Ronan Grisham decides to forgo the law to seek his own justice. Forming an underground militia to punish the guilty Ronan finds himself more and more detached. The only thing that has him feeling anything is his fiancé’s brother, Seth. But Ronan is tainted and he doesn’t want that for Seth.

Seth has wanted nothing but Ronan since he was a teenager so the push/pull between these two is epic. Ronan is all about the “love and then run” while Seth is just trying to stay above water. This story was glorious. The writing just pulls you in and once you start you just have to finish.

I do have to admit that the “bad guy” was pretty obvious to me from early on but that still doesn’t take away from how epic this story was. Loved it…get it…actually get book 1 first because this isn’t a standalone….you’ll thank me later ; )
