Shy author Brandon doesn’t understand why his Sir, Sean, wants to break him out of his comfort zone with a fan conference. The very idea makes his skin itch with fear. But, when they head up to the con suite and pick up a hot little Robin cosplayer, the weekend starts looking up—way up.
This title was previously published as Between a Cock and a Hard Dom, a part of the Authors Gone Wild Anthology.
Review:
Brandon and Sean are a smoking hot couple who are complete opposites in manner and personality…except for the love of the sub/Dom lifestyle they lead and each other. They both find exactly what they need in their relationship…but sometimes, they like to bring a something a little special into their bed…like the gorgeous little man they find at an author’s fan conference.
Everyone once in a while, this is exactly the kind of story I need. I like short stories that star established couples better than ones where strangers meet and fall in love in 40 pages because I think it works better with the limited word count. I don’t mind a little insta-love but I do have my limits.
J.P. Barnaby does an excellent job of pulling us into the story from the first paragraph and while the pace is quick, I didn’t find anything wanting along the way. The author does a perfect job of mixing up the hot and sexy with the sweet and caring and it’s probably my favorite thing in the world when it works right….and this story certainly does.
I don’t want to say too much and give things away, so like the story, I’ll keep this short and sweet. I can’t find one single complaint about this story and while I would like to know more about Brandon and Sean, I wasn’t left feeling like something was missing.
The perfect story to sit back and relax with before bed, a short interlude in the middle of a bad day and you need a break, or even if you just want a smile. This story is for you.
