Todays question is about giveaways do you prefer rafflecopter giveaways or giveaways where you just have to leave a comment? and do you enter only exclusive blog giveaways or do you also enter the rafflecopters from blog tours?
I really like them both. I like the comment type when there is interaction with the author, which is normally not common when it is a rafflecopter. I do follow blog tours sometimes, it depends if the posts are interesting …sometimes they are pretty amazing 😉
I prefer rafflecopter giveaways, but it is not a strong preference. I will enter either kind of giveaway – exclusive or tours.
Thanks!
I do both giveaways. I do not mind but sometimes rafflecoptor can be too much.
Another fantastic prize package 🙂 I enter both types of contests. My biggest problem with Rafflecopter is that there are so many Twitter requirements and I refuse to get on twitter – sorry I barely have enough time in the day as it is!
I like both kind and will enter both.
It doesn’t bother me what medium is used though rafflecopters do tend to put the winner up if it is local (blog tour winners never seem to be announced!)
I usually only do the faceboom and comment options – all the rest are usually things I dont have anyway
I do both but I don’t like the Rafflecopters that have 50 different things to do. Keep it simple.
Rafflecopters take no brainpower…so, leaving a comment makes me think about the book and I make sure to read the blurb and excerpt! Then I know I gave an honest comment. I just enter my favorite blog’s giveaways; I don’t follow the blog tours. Congrats again! Thanks for the chance 🙂
I do both but I prefer giveaway where you have to leave a comment. It forces me to socialize a bit more than I do. Thank you for the giveaway chance =)
I like both. But i don’t really like the ones were you have to leave your email address in the comments because i’m a bit reluctant to leave my email address were anyone can see (and maybe abuse) it.
I enter any contest that has books that interest me. Rafflecopter and comment only contests have their separate advantages and disadvantages, but I don’t have a preference. I do blog tours and exclusive giveaways as long as I am interested in the book or author.
I’ll enter almost anything that might give me books! 🙂
I like to enter any type of giveaway, but I find that sometimes the Rafflecopter ones can be tedious – only because in most cases I already follow on twitter or I already joined on facebook so to get the extra entries recognized is sometimes difficult. But no matter what I appreciate the the fact that so many authors are willing to do giveaways. I rarely follow blog tours because in most cases if I’m inerested in the book I’ve already bought it. 🙂
I enter any and all giveaways, competitions and rafflecopters that I see. Although some of the requirements for some rafflecopters just aren’t possible to full fill on the iPad. I try to follow blog tours bout inevitably end up missing some of the stops. Usually if I want a book on the blog tour I’ve already preordered or bought it.
I have a tight book budget so I do a lot of contests I like rafflecopter giveaways because I enjoy following the tours and going to different sites. Comments are okay but I’m not that great at giving witty comments and I run out of things to say on long tours.
I’m all for both kind, really – not very choosy when it comes to giveaways. 😉
Thank you for the chance.
I don’t like giveaways where you have to leave a comment. I don’t always have something original or witty to say. I like visiting Facebook but don’t do twitter or google plus or pintrist
I’m addicted to any kind of giveaway that will help me grow my already vast library 😀
I do both, though Rafflecopters tend to malfunction on me…
I enjoy and enter any kind of book contest.
Excellent question! One that I have strong feelings about, so please forgive my lengthy answer and explanation.
It all depends on the Rafflecopter requirements for me, but I tend to skip those (unless you simply tap “enter”, like the one here). I like to communicate with the blog writers or author(s) more directly, with comments, and read others’ comments as well.
I don’t have accounts with Facebook or Instagram, don’t even know what Tsu is, and I can’t do more than send a Tweet or Pin something on Pinterest. Most Rafflecopter giveaways are simply free and effortless marketing ploys for the author; the more you promote their work on social media, the more entries you earn. I’m not going to promote an author that I’m not familiar with, but will definitely spread the word, to the best of my limited ability, about an author I like or a book I particularly enjoyed.
Rafflecopter giveaways typically just get several people to do the marketing for a new book or author so they don’t have to. I’m not saying that that is a bad thing, merely stating my opinion that I’m not a marketer for folks I don’t know anything about.
Several of the Rafflecopter requirements are often unfair to folks like me, IMO, because I am unable to promote the work on 5 different social media networks, and may not want to subscribe to unknown authors’ newsletters. Or post their book on my Goodreads shelves, Pin something on my Pinterest boards, follow authors on Twitter, etc, etc. That’s usually what is involved with Rafflecopter giveaways.
I do enjoy the blog tours because I can find new blogs to follow or to refer to friends to follow. I also like when an author posts something different on each blog, not just the same blurb. It helps me get to know the author a bit better, and if I like an author’s personality, I will then buy their work.
Long story too long- I prefer leaving a comment and/or answering a question instead of blindly broadcasting advertisement for an unknown-to-me author via Rafflecopter entries.
It’s completely random on what I happen to read when . . .
I prefer to enter by way of a comment although Rafflecopter can be easy. I follow blog tours for books I really want to read or author’s I really like. Thanks for another great set of prizes.
I prefer rafflecopter but will enter others if the prize is worth it.
I prefer commenting on blogs when rafflecopter requirements are very lengthy. But I’ll do both to enter contests which interest me. I’ll follow some blog tours if the book/author interest me or if the giveaway is very generous or if I have enough time/energy.
I enter both!
I prefer a comment without rafflecopter. Second would be rafflecopter like you’re running for this giveaway, with a question.
I almost never respond to rafflecopters where I have to jump through hoops like, follow on twitter, FB, blog etc. It’s too much work. And I almost never follow a blog hop because they almost always require all the ‘follow here’ and entering at each blog stop.
I appreciate any chance to participate in a giveaway, as I’m not very lucky–more entry opportunities increase the odds of winning. Since I don’t participate in Facebook or Twitter, it’s appreciated when I am able to take part in a giveaway with a blog post option. Thanks, again, for all the chances to win such great prizes.
I enter both kinds of giveaways, but probably prefer the ones where you just leave a comment. I’m not on Facebook or Twitter so those don’t apply to me on Rafflecoper giveaways.
I like both contests but sometimes it is easier to leave a comment instead of trying to fulfill all categories on rafflecopter.
It depends on how life is going for me at the time. I definitely dial down the giveaway entering (both rafflecopter and commenting) when life gets too hectic. And I don’t really have much of a preference between blog exclusives vs blog tours.
I’m new to this and so far I’ve been entering both, and prefer the comment versions. And I certainly like the pkgs that Love Bytes offers.
I really like both. I don’t usually follow a blog tour though.
I like both, it’s always nice to win something. 😉 I following blog tours when the author’s interest me or when there’s info about upcoming releases.
I have no issue with rafflecopter giveaways but feel comment giveaways show more interest in the subject and a winner can be chosen based on their reponse. I find the comment giveaways can garner greater interest and interaction between participants.
I like either way … but I don’t really “follow” blog tours. Only from blog I might know but not all of them.
rafflecopter…except where it’s overloaded with tweet/twitter crap 😛
I will enter anything really….via blog tours or exclusive blogs
I’m a g/away whore …oops
I love giveaway’s and i don’t mind a raffle or a comment 🙂
I like both for different reasons. I tend to agree with nicki442. Although I do have most social mediums.
Another great prize package!
I enter both. I love giveaways! ty
I enter giveaways only of interest to me, either by rafflecopter or comment. Rafflecopter is getting harder to enter on some giveaways when they ask you to follow author/blog site on various social mediums, such as instagram or snapchat, which I do not follow.
I do both, though I prefer when rafflecopter doesn’t have too many entries with twitter ( because I don’t have an account).
I prefer comment contests and will do some rafflecopter contests, but they tend to require so much etc. Also, I think some people click on entries in the rafflecopter without fulfilling the requirements such as making a blog comment etc.
