Las Vegas has never been one of my favorite places but since my daughter and I just came back from RT at the Rio, I thought I’d share some of my favorite moments with you!

I played my very first game of Cards Against Humanity. Wow. Who dreamed this up? Between me and you, I never believed I’d ever use “fluttering *sshole” in a sentence. But now I think of it, I may have actually been misguided enough to use it in a book, at one time…

<3<3<3 Live and learn.

The Big Book Signing was AWESOME. Lori Witt and Anna Zabo brought rainbow flags for all the authors who write LGBT themed stories, so readers could find us easily. I must say, we looked snazzy.

Riptide Publishing ties blue and white balloons to my chair. (Which you can’t see in this picture, for some reason) They make it simple for readers know where to find Riptide’s authors. They also give me a cool collapsible lunch tote with snacks and water, in case I get peckish. For some reason, every time they do this, I melt like BUTTER. They are so nice!

I feel pretty looked after by that. who knew I could be bought for a package of Nutter Butter cookies? HOW DID THEY KNOW? Those are totally my favorites.

God help me if they ever put one of those Nutella/cookie packages in there. I’d just crawl under the tablecloth with my phone and stream dance films.

I got to hang out with my pals from Penguin, too. They even made me put on a pink feather boa!

Feather boas seem awesome don’t they? I grew up with a whole generation of women who had Maryanne, Ginger, and Mrs. Howell as role models and one thing seems clear to me now. All of them, at one time, must have worn a boa.

Now, I’m savvy enough to know the actual meaning of “begs the question” so I will say that this invites speculation.

Who brings a feather boa to a deserted island? I always assumed Ginger felt no three-hour cruise could be completed without one. After all, she lived in beaded evening gowns.
