Synopsis
LAPD Detective Sean Hennessey has one person he’s repeatedly tried to arrest and bring to justice: his nemesis, Mitchell Yates.
Yates has been in and out of trouble for years, always skating around the edges of LA’s underbelly; however, Sean can never pin anything on him.
But one night all of that changes.
Caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, instead of arresting Yates, Sean is rescued by him and taken to Yates’ home—a satellite high above Earth. There, Sean discovers a world he thought possible only in Science Fiction.
Everything he believed he knew about Yates is turned upside down, and Sean must make a decision: to remain with the LAPD or join Yates and work toward intergalactic peace.

ABOUT ME AND HOW I WRITE
Hi everyone. Thanks for inviting me to your blog. I thought I’d start out by telling you a little bit about myself. I was born in Elmira, NY, grew up in Phoenix, AZ, married a Texan and have lived for the past 40+ years all over Texas. Though I’m not a native Texan; but, like the saying goes, I got here as fast as I could. I have four children, six grand children, and two great-grand children. I’m a widow and retired now from running a day care center for twenty years.
I’d be hard pressed to say which I enjoy more – reading or writing. Both bring me incredible joy. And I enjoy reading just about everything – from westerns, to biographies, SciFi to books about WW2. (I’m currently half way through my set of six books written about WW2 by Winston Churchill.)
It was back in the 70s when I became interested in M/M stories and was sad to realize how few were really out there. That’s when I started writing and passing my stories around. (At that time, I had in the neighborhood of two hundred pen pals. Yes, we actually put pen to paper and wrote letters! *Gasp!*)
I started writing fan fiction and it was Star Trek, Starsky and Hutch, and Hawaii 5-0. Life stepped in then and I didn’t write anything for years as I was too busy. Then X-Files came along and I had to start writing again. That was about the time I discovered the internet and started posting my stories. I got a lot of favorable feedback, so I decided to try my luck at getting published. HOME is my first book with WIP, but I do have a second SciFi book called THE TEST that has been accepted by them and will be out in due time.
I have several other writing projects in the works and often flip back and forth among them when the mood strikes me. Yes, I know that’s now how it’s supposed to be done, but that’s the way it works for me. If I try and force myself to write – it just won’t come. I go from one story to another, original fiction to fan fiction. (Yes, I still write fan fiction. What can I say, I’m still a ‘fan girl’ at heart. ) So it’s not uncommon at all for me to be working on several stories at one time. That’s just the way my mind works.
Other than reading and writing, my favorite things to do are jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and word search. I absolutely love DIY projects, and have wall papered, paneled, laid tile, refinished furniture, painted, and hung ceiling fans, among other things. I sew, quilt, embroidery, and did my own lawn work most of my life. I love to cook and bake, but nothing fancy.
That’s about it. I’m just an old lady keeping busy at keeping busy.
Noel leaned over the chamber and spoke. “Yana, do you know where you are?”
Yana thought a minute, his eyes moving to take in all he could see, and he nodded.
“You were injured in an explosion, but you’re going to be fine. Aaron was with you, and he’s okay, too. You know the routine. Six hours in here on your back, a visit with Counselor Dorothy, and you’re free to go.”
Yana made another attempt at nodding, then turned back to meet Sean’s eyes. A moment or so later, he noticed the flowers. His eyes went from one flower to the next and back again to Sean.
“Do you understand them?” Sean asked.
Yana smiled his answer.
Sean picked up the first stem. “Yarrow—health and healing.” He reached for the second offering. “Thyme—strength and courage.” Then, “White heather—wishes will come true.” Lastly, he picked up the red rose, smelled it, and said with a grin, “The red rose—I can’t remember for sure. I think it’s something like ‘I love your Gladiolas’.”
Yana choked out a laugh and began coughing again. Sean immediately regretted his feeble attempt at humor and anxiously waited as Yana settled down again.
“You know what a red rose means?” Sean knew full well Yana would know a red rose meant “I love you”.
Yana nodded slightly.
“Good. That’s settled then.” Sean grinned, then asked, “You doing all right in there?”
Another slight nod from Yana.
“A few hours and you’ll be out of there, good as new,” Sean assured him.
