ANTHOLGY REVIEW:
I’m fairly certain its obvious how much I enjoy shifter stories so I was really looking forward to sinking my teeth into this one. All of the stories feature shifters, though various kinds, and it was interesting seeing how the animal side affected the human one in the various situations presented. While I liked all of the tales offered here, I didn’t feel any were really spectacular and I found myself wishing I’d had the opportunity to read more about the founders of the dating agency than the couples they were matching instead. I’ll certainly read this one again but I’m looking forward to seeing if the series will continue and maybe, just maybe I’ll get that story I really want!
Aiden and Ben: 4*
Wolf shifters are some of my favorites and this story just kind of enforced why. I enjoyed the interactions between the main characters and, naturally, the sex was pretty hot, too! I liked seeing how different the two men were, even though they were both wolves, and I thought it was just totally sweet that Ben wanted so badly to take care of Aiden. Really good start to the book though I wish I could’ve seen more time spent on Ben helping Aiden to re-connect with his wolf.
Coy and Denver: 4.5*
This was my favorite story in the book and it was also the only story that featured a vampire which made for a nice change. Coy and Denver were hot, not gonna lie, but what I liked best were the time they spent outside of the bedroom. I loved watching the two play together as I find that kind of lightheartedness sometimes missing in the shifter interactions I read about. Even better was the last part of the story as I wasn’t expecting any of that to happen at all! I really enjoyed this one. J
Evgeny and Feng: 4*
This was a bit of a different pairing but I liked the change more than I thought I would. It was sweet how Evgeny was so worried about doing something that would hurt Feng and I liked that his character broke away from what I consider to be the stereotype for a Tiger shifter. Feng was also interesting in that he was part of a circus and it was nice to see how much faith he had in Evgeny, even when Ev didn’t have any in himself. The ending really showed the care between the two and the story left off on a really good note.
Gage and Hamish: 4*
I agreed with the assumption that these two couldn’t possibly work as a pairing but was very pleasantly surprised. Gage is totally a pushy, bratty bottom and it was great seeing him taken in hand by Hamish. Seriously, even I wasn’t sure it would work out as well as it did. :p I think things settled down a little too easily between the two men but it was to be expected with how quickly all of the pairs got together over the course of the book. This was still a decent way to end the book, however, and I’ll enjoy reading it again in the future.
