I really enjoy seeing artwork that fans have created for books they love – whether it be symbols, around quotes, characters or scenes… I’ve seem many that authors have retweeted on Twitter that they loved or have come across so maybe something like that or a weekly/monthly post of an artist pic and author combo where an author writes a small price of flash fiction along with it… 🙂

How about readers submit questions they would like an author, voice artists, cover artist, reviewer, whomever, to answer.

What about a brief guide to writing a review, I think many of us would like to write reviews for amazon etc but don’t get much further than “I like this book because…”

I saw a feature on a blog once were they would interview their own reviewers and reviewers from fellow blog sites. They would ask about favorite authors, books, hobbies and reviewing suggestions. It was fun getting to know other reviewers that we follow all the time.

I would like to see a once a month guest review from an author about another author’s book. Maybe it could be in a genre the reviewing author doesn’t write in. It would be interesting to see what a writer thinks about someone else’s stories.

Maybe joint reviews with one of your reviewers and a reader – expert and amateur! (After jennysmum2000 suggestion has been done!)

I would love to hear from an author who has experience either as a sex surrogate or has researched the topic and written books about it. And have the view point of a person who needs these services. I recently read an article from a disabled man about his experience that was so beautiful and when looking for books about it I only found one.

I love all the suggestions already submitted. Another one that comes to my mind is I enjoy when authors interview each other…maybe do a topic a week or month and authors can interrogate each other about it.

I think that reader questions for authors could be a fun feature. Have readers submit questions for an upcoming author post and have the author answer them or something like that.

Maybe once a month there could be a post about different sexual identities. There are so many that I have trouble sometimes differentiating them. You could start with the ones most people are familiar with like Bisexual and Transsexual and then take it from there.

In depth interviews with authors about what reviews have really been meaningful to them and assisted them in becoming better writers. I’m never sure if the ones I post are beneficial at all. Usually I end up saying how much I like a book or character or how the setting is written in such a meaningful way I want to go there!

Maybe features on cover artist every so often about their process/how they came up with it, work with the author, etc.

A guest reader blog once a month. Each month a reader will write a post that could be anything from answering questions from other readers, or from authors, they could do a review, or write about a particular genre. Those are just a few items they could write about.

Highlight/Interview on others who are involved in the publishing business, like cover artists or editors, and you can have their own authors (who have worked with these authors and editors) to interview them.

Oh, and to have more interaction with readers/visitors of your blog, you can have more ‘games’. I like the guess the cover game. Maybe you can have Easter Egg Hunt, or Secret Santa, or such 🙂

I really like characters interviews. Also pictures of what the authors used as inspirations for the story, characters and places.

I’d love to see some movie reviews! So many gay-themed movies look great and end up being awful or downright depressing…

I really love character interviews or flash fiction such as Rhy Ford’s Dirty Bites. There might be a brief ID outline for those readers not familiar with the characters or story line e.g. occupation, background, short story/ series line.
It’s nice to see a different side or new additional story about favorite characters.

I really love getting into people’s heads. So I’d love to see more interviews that spotlight authors’, artists’, publishers’ processes. As much as I enjoy the well-known, established authors, I’d also love to see some new diamonds-in-the-rough spotlighted – maybe someone who’s really great, but is still writing fanfics.

Great suggestions all! It would be awesome to have them all. ;P I’d to see mroe author’s interview where they tell personal experiences, how they deal with online friends/foes, how they found this genre and started to write, that kind of thing.

You could hold a monthly event with reviews by your readers (on a book selected by you) which you would read and have the best featured as a guest post.

I’d like to see an “edit” button for these comment posts. As I asked about on the “About Us” page, because I couldn’t find anyplace else to ask a question or offer a suggestion. Many times I spot a typo I made, or a strange auto-correct goof after I hit “post”, and can’t go back in to fix it. Also, in many contests/giveaways, folks forget to post their email address. Being unable to edit a comment, they must post another one. Having an edit option on comments would be a great help.

I’d like to see an author write a story for one post. But there’d be a catch. The blog would give the writer a photo that would be the basis for each chapter. A picture prompt. You’d show your readers the photo and we’d wait to see what the author came up with the following week. It’d be just for fun, but maybe the author then could tell the readers how their thought processes worked when they got the picture prompt. We’d learn a bit about their writing habits that way too.
