With a lycan father, a human mother, and the human side of his genetic makeup dominant, Luke left his birth pack to try living among humans, but he felt awkward and uncomfortable isolated from the culture that raised him. He’s still searching for where he fits in.
After losing his family in a vicious attack, Dean rebuilt his pack by accepting loners, rejects, other survivors, and even ferals. He and his ragtag group of strays made a warm and welcoming home.
Luke believes he’s finally found where he belongs. Meddling parents and a neighbor who isn’t as human as he seems won’t sway him. Luke wants Dean to take in one last stray…him.

REVIEW:
Luke is a half lycan/human man living who left his birth pack to strike out on his own to make a life for himself among the humans. He felt that it would be a bit easier for him seeing as his human side is dominant. But after living among humans for so long, he wants or needs to be a part of a pack. I think he missed the comfort and safety of pack life after realizing that the grass wasn’t greener on the other side of the fence. He decides to join s pack that he’s been observing for a while.
Dean’s the alpha of a pack of stray shifters. They’re strays in the sense that they all came to him after tragic situations and he took them all in and formed a family. These aren’t undisciplined, rogue wolves. These are wolves who’ve lost families and they needed someone to take them in and lead them.
Dean’s tragic past left him with little trust for humans but he meets Luke and his views on humans changes..
This novella is another good read from this author. I’ve come to love her quirky characters and strange but wonderful stories, especially her paranormals. They all have this odd sort of quality that makes the story flow…I can’t quite explain it, but it’s really nice. I like it a lot. The sex scenes were graphic that would’ve been considered obscene but she somehow makes it sexy. The way she writes her sex scenes, I mean, no one can write a sex scene the way she does, she has a certain style to it that makes it unique.
The characters are always very entertaining and the storyline was interesting. The story started a bit slow at first but the storyline picked up a bit after the first few pages. I also like the relationships that developed with the surrounding characters as it gave you more to focus on.
I definitely look forward to reading what happens next with these characters.
