Keeping secrets from people is hard enough, but when the media, a horde of new fans, and staff and family who all think they know what’s best for Austin are involved, it’s even worse. Coming out to the world is not an option, so Jalen is forced to hide in the shadows. It doesn’t always work, and Jalen begins to wonder if they should stay together. The next choice could make or break them as a couple, and both men wonder why love has to be so complicated.

The book has only been out for a few days and already questions about another sequel are rolling in. What can I say? These two books were originally only supposed to be one, and they began in a totally different way than how they ended.

When I started writing, I used flashbacks to describe how Jalen and Austin first met. After several weeks of struggling with the story, I decided their senior year of high school needed to be the first book. Jalen wouldn’t shut-up.

I e-mailed my publisher and asked how I was supposed to approach writing the story when the characters were only eighteen years old and still in high school. Dreamspinner gave me the go-ahead to write the story how I wanted to tell it.

I wrote the first book and I knew people weren’t going to be happy with the ending, but I’d already resigned myself to write a sequel. I can honestly say I only had a vague idea of what I wanted to write in the second story. But that’s how I roll. I’m definitely a pantser and not a plotter when it comes to writing a book.

So now I’ve been asked the question about a third book. To tell you the truth, I’m currently neck deep in a snowbank writing a new hockey series called Beyond the Boards, which I originally intended to be a short story. Apparently I’m terrible at writing short stories, because the story took on a life of its own and now will probably have to be at least three books to fit in everything.

As of right now, I’m not working on a third book for the Game, Set, and Match Series. But Jalen and Austin have me invested in their lives, and every once in awhile when I’m sitting at the tennis center watching and listening to the tennis balls pop off the strings, I think of the boys and what they would be doing now.

 

I flipped on the TV, and there on the screen was my boyfriend, up and coming superstar tennis player, Austin Suter.

He lounged in the chair opposite the interviewer, long legs stretched out like he was hanging out with a good friend. The waves of his hair touched his shoulders and I remembered tugging on it when he was down on me. When I pulled, he had moaned and sent sparks up my spine. The memory made me push the heal of my hand against my dick, but I was pulled out of my reverie when I noticed the interviewer looked like she wanted to run her fingers through his hair. The only thing that saved the woman from me heading down to the studio and perhaps, glaring her to death was Austin fiddling with the key necklace I’d given him. The small smile on his face spoke volumes to me.
