BLURB:
Kaden Markwell, spoiled rich kid, has always chosen the hard way to learn life’s lessons, though he doesn’t see it that way. Now that he’s been caught in an act that, should it get out, will embarrass his millionaire father and ruin his mother’s career, he’s taken things a step too far. Kaden has no choice but to finally do what his daddy says as he’s sent off to an old family friend to get his act together.
At DOMZ.com, Kaden is not the one calling the shots anymore, and his good looks and boyish charms are more likely to leave him gagged and hogtied than with his way. When Master R, a renowned Shibari rope master, steps in to show the rebellious Kaden a thing or two about control, will they find Kaden’s inner submissive or will the experience leave them both tied in knots?
REVIEW:
This novella is part 3 in the Master’s Boys series and gives us Kaden, the son of old college friends and Master R, a Shibari expert at DOMZ.com.
To say that this story is all it would be an understatement. The story starts off okay enough but the circumstances of how Kaden ends up at DOMZ is odd. At first you think that Kaden is a spoiled rich kid who’s mission in life is to embarrass his wealthy and powerful parents but that’s not necessarily the case. Kaden may come from a life of privilege but his story is just as sad as the other subs at the club.
Kaden is trying to exorcise some serious demons and drown his pain and anguish in a haze of drugs, alcohol and sex—all in an attempt to gain the attention of his self centered parents. When his latest attention seeking stunt goes awry, his parents, being the selfish, self centered assed they are, ships him off to their old college friend who happens to be none other than Zachary Teak, owner of DOMZ.com.
Kaden meets and falls for Master R, the resident Shibari expert and Dom. Of all the Doms in this series, Master R turned out to be one of my favorites and exactly what Kaden needed.
As with all of the other novellas in this series, Trick and Master P’s drama spilled over into this book. Just when you get into the characters whose story it is, it gets derailed with Trick and P’s ongoing drama. I just don’t get why their storyline couldn’t have been wrapped up in their own book. It’s this constant intrusion that takes away some of the enjoyment.
I felt like Kaden should’ve had a conversation with his parents. There definitely needed to be a conversation with his parents about what happened to Kaden as a child. They needed to know and Kaden needed to tell them so he could get help and they could be with him. Even though Master R was a calming force in his life, Kaden needed professional counseling.
This story ends abruptly just like the others in this series leaving many issues unresolved.
