BLURB:
When falling in love means risking everything, an angel must decide if losing his heart is worth it.
Lam is an Agnus Dei—or a messenger angel—who deals with mortals and the Four Horsemen. He’s helped them to find love and become mortal again, but he can’t seem to figure out his own relationship. Of course, it would be so much easier if he hadn’t fallen for Lucifer Daystar, the most infamous angel out there.
Lucifer Daystar has loved Lam since the moment he saw him. They’ve hidden their relationship since Lam isn’t supposed to fraternize with Day. He wishes things could be different, but he won’t risk Lam getting into trouble for being with him. Then one day Lam disappears and Day must search the world to find him.
When Day rescues him, will Lam have decided loving a fallen angel isn’t worth the pain?
REVIEW:
I was really hoping that the author would bring us Lam’s story! I though after finishing the fourth book in the series, about the fourth horseman, that it might be over. Well, it isn’t! I enjoyed this story and I’m glad the author brought it to us. This is easily the best book in the series in my opinion! If you’ve followed my reviews on the series you will remember that I wasn’t a huge fan of the re-release versions of books one and two. Honestly they had some issues. But since those two, each book has gotten better, and now I’m a fan.
In Peace we finally get the story of Lam, the messenger angel who has been an integral part of each of the four previous stories. You will all remember that Lam is the one who helped the existing four horsemen become mortal again and find their individual husbands. You will also remember that he had been meeting up with someone named Day, but we never really knew who Day was. Now we do…Day is Lucifer Daystar. Now, I personally think it was great timing for this book to come out right after the new Fox series “Lucifer” hit the air. I for one instantly had that handsome Welshman Tom Ellis’ face in my mind for this Lucifer character as well. But enough drooling over Tom Ellis…back to the story.
Lam and Day have continued their relationship since the end of the fourth book. They both know that the powers that be in heaven won’t be happy if they are discovered, but they continue anyway.
Now Lam has disappeared. And Day can’t sense him anywhere on the planet or in heaven. There is only one reason that could be true…but that is impossible, right?
I liked that the now mortal four horsemen and their husbands were all tied back into this installment. I recommend it. Honestly, I’d recommend the entire series at this point. For best understanding, you should read all five books. As I’ve not been shy about my thoughts as I’ve gone along, understand that they start a little rough, but get better as they go. I’m guessing this is the last installment.
