Now that he’s living with Sam Stein, Zach Cohen is finally ready to move on from his unhappy past. His days are filled with wedding preparations, yet he still finds time to make plans and decisions without consulting Sam and his mother, firmly believing he knows best.
Sam is ready to settle in for the perfect life with Zach but years of bad habits have come back to haunt him. Struggling to accept himself and his future, he chooses not to share his fears, unwilling to look weak in Zach’s eyes.
Real life gets in the way of the best intentions and when their secrets explode, the aftermath challenges the foundation of a relationship both believed unshakeable. Falling in love is the easy part, and Zach and Sam discover that only with honesty can they overcome what threatens to tear them apart.
This is a novella of approximately 25,000 words in The Breakfast Club series
Review:
What a wonderful surprise this “final” novella in this series was. After finishing Marcus & Tyler’s story, we knew Zach and Sam ‘s wedding was coming close. So this was an extreme delight to see it appear 🙂
This novella was exactly that…a built up to Zach and Sam’s wedding and what a built up it was.
We get closure on some specific Zach things which I liked a lot where on the other hand I really struggled with Sam his secrecy. I cannot imagine the things they kept secret from eachother so that got me in trouble a little bit at occasions.
A highlight that I absolutely loved was the little meet up with all the men together. It is so good to read about all of them. And look at another surprise from author Felice Stevens, the caterers for the wedding were Gideon & Rizo! It seems like there business is up and running smoothly 🙂
As we follow Zack we see him struggle with the new social life from his mother and I think that could be really familiar to people, despite the fact that I personally didn’t understand the shortness and brushed off responses of his mum. Despite that it was good to see she found a way to pick up her life, good for her!
Zach with his easy and supportive nature is even more emphasized in this novelle by his support to different people and organizations. You can read and feel his personal growth.
Sam’s struggles are of a completely different nature. It throws in the “simplicity”of life, what you want and how to deal with what gets thrown towards you when that happens.
Sam’s choices might not be the right ones but you cannot deny that what he feels is real.
In the end I truly believe both of them are in an even more healty relationship, secure in their love and beliefs. We as the readers get a beautiful wedding and wedding night “winks winks”.
Miss Stevens provided the reader with a wonferful novella to wrap up a fantastic storyline in an even more brillant series. I personally cannot deny expressing my love of reading some more of this men in the future, I mean Marcus & Ty tying the knot? Any maybe future children somewhere down the line, who knows……..(if we are lucky).
