It’s a fact that Izzy likes men. Meeka’s rule is never crush on straight friends. But a single fact isn’t the whole picture, and sometimes rules get broken. On a night out drinking, the two friends stumble into territory that breaks all the unwritten rules, and Izzy learns that ‘likes men’ doesn’t keep her from enjoying the rush of giving Meeka orders—and Meeka will do anything to keep her attention.

REVIEW:

I have no idea how old the characters in this story were, and when I first started reading it, I thought Izzy was a child, literally. The ‘where’s my pie’ dialogue and what followed came across as if Meeka was babysitting a young girl. Perhaps that was the author’s intention, as throughout the story Meeka treats her friend more like a child than anyone she truly cared about. The story is very one sided, with little character growth and no spark between our leading ladies, at least none I could feel.

I always love discovering how a title came to be and in this instance it fitted Meeka. She makes over her friend and takes her out to get ‘laid’. Which entails her escorting Izzy to an all-girl club. When Izzy receives the unwanted attention from ‘Eyeliner girl’, a belittling title that wore thin, Meeka states ‘She’s with me’! From that moment forward our once straight heroine, Meeka, turns all domme on Izzy, drags her home and has her way with her.

I’m a fan of a good spanking, hot loving and light BDSM. However, in this story I didn’t find it erotic in the least. References to a woman being sticky, jerked off, and eaten out, are not terms I find arousing. That’s on a personal level, so is something I realize other readers may enjoy more than I did.

Not for the first time, I hear myself saying, I am neither endorsing nor discrediting this story, it simply didn’t work for me. I urge readers to check out other reviews, and better yet, to buy this book and form their own conclusion.
