Teen shelter volunteer Rich searches for love until Diego, from LVMPD Search and Rescue, finds him.
After declaring his love life officially dead, Rich wonders if maybe he should stick with his shifter book boyfriends instead. It’s not as if he has much free time to date anyway. Between working long hours at a coffee shop, guarding his sodas from his hygienically challenged roommates, and running the programming at the Vegas LGBTQ teen shelter he founded – how could there ever be space for love in his life?
Diego Espinoza enjoys taking his downtime from working Search and Rescue, at the Lucky Cup coffee shop. He can set up his laptop, peruse good sport climbing spots and observe the blond barista he’s been pining over for a while. He imagines that the pretty boy has more offers than he knows what to do with, so it takes Diego time to work up the nerve to approach him.
Rich isn’t so sure about the rough looking Diego – even if he’s always thought he was hot – but once he decides to gives Diego a chance, there’s an immediate heat and connection that takes him by surprise. As they learn more about each other and try to find the way to a future together, strange and scary things start to happen.
It isn’t until Rich is injured in a bizarre accident that it becomes clear that there’s someone out there who not only doesn’t want Rich to find love – they want him dead.

Diego chuckled then took Rich’s mouth. The kiss began slowly and sensuously, but Diego was wound tight, anxious for relief. He wouldn’t take Rich’s ass, he’d give him a chance to recover from the pounding he’d given him the night before, but he needed to come soon. He embraced Rich, pressing his body against his, but with one hand at his lower back to keep him from being bruised by the hard tile.
Diego deepened the kiss, grinding his cock against Rich’s groin, rolling his hips so he could find the right friction to get off. He tightened his fingers around Rich as Rich grasped his dick. Rich leaked a small amount of spunk against his leg, leftover from his recent release. Rich used a couple of fingers to swipe across it, then with both of his hands, he spread it all over Diego’s heated length to mix with his own pre-cum, not letting go.
“Rich.” He hissed. “Yeah. Don’t stop.”
Rich jacked him vigorously and he was lost in the sensation of Rich taking charge. His body screamed for release, Rich squeezing him so hard, so good as he thrust into the sure grip of Rich’s two fists. His balls abruptly tightened, and his cum shot from him, erupting over Rich’s hands. Diego crushed his mouth against Rich’s, telling him with the kiss how much Rich had satisfied him.
Rich had slowed down his strokes and he reluctantly let go of Rich’s mouth as his dick softened. He inhaled sharply as Rich raised his fingers to his lips to lap Diego’s cum off of them. Diego couldn’t respond, he could only watch as Rich appeared to savor it, cleaned every one of them until he wrapped his arms around Diego’s neck, pulling him in for another kiss.
He tasted himself in Rich’s mouth, then the longer they explored each other with their tongues, the more Rich’s natural flavor emerged. There wasn’t anywhere he would’ve rather been than in Rich’s arms and he chastised himself again for his doubts. He held Rich tighter, kissed him deeper. All he wanted going forward was to nurture what was building between them.
Rich broke the connection, breathless in the aftermath. He gazed right into Diego’ eyes, no hesitation. “I wanted to taste you too.”
He’d kept his arms draped over Diego’s shoulders and Diego rested his hands on Rich’s hips. “The verdict?”
Rich laughed, showing off straight white teeth, his lips stretched into the most enticing smile. It was the very first thing that’d sparked Diego’s interest in him.
“It turns out I liked it quite a bit.” Rich shook his head as if in wonder. “I’d always hoped I could find someone really passionate. Oh, and someone who actually knew what they were doing and weren’t afraid to do it.”
Diego let out a very happy sigh. “Then I hope I’ve lived up to your expectations.”
Rich nodded with enthusiasm. “I can’t wait to try even more things.”
Diego inclined his head. Interesting. “Oh? You seemed unsure as to what you might like last night. You have some new ideas?”
“Well…” Rich’s cheeks flushed. “It crossed my mind that since you climb, you also happen to have all this rope lying around. Or, you know, wherever you keep all that rope.” He cleared his throat. “When you’re not climbing, that is.”
Diego couldn’t hold back his grin. “Go on.”
Rich huffed. “Are you going to make me say it?”
After giving Rich another quick kiss as encouragement, he gazed back at him. “There’s nothing you can’t say to me.” He winked. “I promise, Rich. Just you hinting about it already has my cock making a valiant effort to stand at attention again.”
Rich arched his eyebrows. “Wow. Okay. In that case, I’d really like you to tie me down and fuck me one of these days.” His cheeks burned brighter, but Rich didn’t look away. “Would really like it.”
“Then we must do that.”

Author Morticia Knight spends most of her nights writing about men loving men forever after. If there happens to be some friendly bondage or floggings involved, she doesn’t begrudge her characters whatever their filthy little heart’s desire. Even though she’s been crafting her naughty tales for more years than she’d like to share – her adventures as a published author began in 2011. Once upon a time she was the lead singer in an indie rock band that toured the West Coast and charted on U.S. college radio. She currently resides on the northern Oregon coast and when she’s not fantasizing about hot men she takes walks along the ocean and annoys the local Karaoke bar patrons.
