TITLE: The Biker’s Dom
SERIES: Sequel to The Biker’s Pup
AUTHOR: Sean Michael
PUBLISHER: Pride Publishing
LENGTH: 88 Pages
BLURB:
Trig isn’t looking for something special when he comes to the Gay Riders’ Carnival this year, but it just might have come looking for him.
It’s Trig’s fourth year at the Gay Riders’ Carnival and this year he’s not sure if he’s looking for more than a few nights of camping, checking out the booths and listening to the music. He’s been dumped a lot in the last year and is looking more to lick his wounds and just relax.
It’s the first time at the Carnival for Tarzan and he doesn’t know exactly what to expect. When he lays eyes on Trig, though, he knows what he wants. Trig claims he’s not a bottom, but he’s tripping all of Tarzan’s instincts.
Can these two men find a middle ground, or will their attraction last only as long as the Carnival itself?
REVIEW:
I have to be honest. I had really high hopes for this book. I’ve been waiting since January, when I read and reviewed The Biker’s Pup, for this story, and I’m seriously thinking it wasn’t as good as the first one.
In this current installment, Trig, who we met in The Biker’s Pup, is back with his own story. He is a friend of Whip from the first book, and I and other readers suspected that he might be the subject of this next book. One reader of my review back in January commented that they hoped it was Trig’s story. So they got their wish.
Trig is back for his fourth year at the Gay Rider’s Carnival somewhere in Ontario, Canada. He is still a big husky Dom, or at least he thinks he is…until he meets a guy named Tarzan. (Have I mentioned how happy I am that my mom isn’t either a math teacher or an Engish teacher!)
Tarzan is even bigger than Trig is, and he is a total top Dom. Where does this leave Trig when they touch hands and sparks fly?
I think it had the potential to be a really entertaining story. But one thing was missing in my mind…the actual story. There was a lot of hot sex, interspersed with tiny snippets of storyline that didn’t involve sex. I’m as much into the sex scenes as anyone, but I like a story with something else besides just sex. And they had sex like 7 or 8 times in the first 24 hours. By about the fifth time, I was like…really…again?
While I liked the story for what it was, I again didn’t think it had enough real storyline this time. I’m going to have to call this one Good/Average, or 3.0 on our scale.
