TITLE: A Trip To Remember
SERIES: Dreamspinner Advent Calendar 2015 — Sleigh Ride
AUTHOR: Meg Harding
PUBLISHER: Dreamspinner Press
BLURB:
Colin wants to spend the Christmas holiday with his family, but a blizzard settles in and his flight is cancelled. Unwilling to accept this, he strikes out on his own and crashes his car. Where he ends up might be better than where he was going, though.
Logan was content to wait out the blizzard and spend the holiday alone, but when a frozen-solid Colin ends up on his doorstep, he’s not going to turn him away. He takes him in and shows him Christmas spent with a stranger really doesn’t have to be awkward after all.
A story from the Dreamspinner Press 2015 Advent Calendar package “Sleigh Ride”.
REVIEW:
This strangers thrown together story is okay. Not great, but okay. At the beginning I found the main characters not overly likeable. They were both caustic and rude, which I think is not really a great reaction for one of them to someone who has just taken you in.
Then the mood of the book changes to one of flirting and stolen kisses. It felt disconcerting to me, like the characters were switched out for new ones halfway through. It was strange. A good thing about it was that at the end of the book it wasn’t an instalove kind of discussion. It was a we are going to date and see much more of each other discussion.
Overall, not a bad read. Just uneven.

Thanks for the review, this sounds like a maybe to me 😉
Not a big fan of the “hostility hiding sexual tension” trope…
Sounds good
I’m a bit mixed on this one. I’ll put it on my maybe list.
