As an undercover DEA agent, Dorian Michael James’s life was all about intrigue. As president of the Dirty Dozen Motorcycle Club, it was all about danger. But everything he has worked for goes up in flames when he discovers a man tied up in the trunk of a drug dealer’s car. With no other choice, Dorian throws away all his hard work and rescues the frightened man. But leaving Artie behind might not be possible, especially when the drug cartel Dorian is investigating thinks the man knows something. When saving Artie becomes more important than busting the bad guys, Dorian calls in some help from some old friends.
Artie Mills’s life was hard enough without being sold to a drug dealer by his jerk of a stepfather. He wasn’t sure if meeting the gorgeous Dorian James was going to make it better or worse, but he damn sure wanted to find out. When someone close betrays them, not even Dorian’s friends can protect him. Artie has to decide if he’s going to continue to be a victim or prove to everyone that he’s not a Little Bit of Nothing.
REVIEW:
This is book 8 in the series and it takes us back to Dorian, leader of the Dirty Dozen biker club and undercover DEA agent. While on an undercover mission, he sees Artie in the trunk of a low level drug dealer’s car.
This of course, complicated things. One, because he couldn’t in good conscience leave the man in danger and two, he’s attracted to the him. Thinking fast on his feet, Dorian manages to get Artie to safety but it throws a bit of a wrench into his operation.
Artie’s a good guy, a hardworking and smart young man who, thanks to his pig of a stepfather, ends up in the trunk of a drug dealer’s car. He’s completely smitten with Dorian but gets his heart broken when Dorian leaves him.
I really like Artie’s character. He’s a bit quirky and I love a quirky character. Dorian’s character was a lot different than what I originally thought when he was introduced in Better Than Good.
The action and storyline was really pretty good. She introduced more men into the story that I’m sure—I’m hoping—will be featured into their own stories. This series is really very good. The characters are engaging and the books are just the perfect length. They’re not too long where you’re overloaded but long enough to keep you satisfied until the next book. I am really interested in reading Bear’s story.
I enjoy reading series and this one is worth taking the time to read.
The books in this series have mild-to mid- level violence and may deal with issues such as domestic/family violence, physical, mental, sexual abuse and rape so if those are your triggers, I would recommend you skip those parts.
This book is part of a series and as such should be read in sequential order. It is recommended that your read the Blaecleah Brothers Cowboy series as their characters cross over into this series.
