TITLE: Elf on the Beach
SERIES: Sleigh Ride (2015 Advent Calendar)
AUTHOR: TJ Nichols
PUBLISHER: Dreamspinner Press
BLURB:
Roone Sorley is an elf on a mission. He has one year to live in the mortal world and experience everything it has to offer before deciding if he is going to return to the North Pole and immortality or stay and become human. Christmas in Australia is all sun, sand, and surf. For Kyle Morgan, that means lots of tourists wanting to learn how to surf, but he hates Christmas. This time of year always reminds him about the family he doesn’t have.
With the clock ticking and only days left, Roone plans on making the most of the heat and the beach and his hot surfing instructor. Beyond that he has no idea what he wants. However with a little magic, he might be able to give Kyle exactly what he needs.
REVIEW:
Being a person who celebrates Christmas during the summer months, this story was a treat for me in more ways the one. Sun, sand and the surf, plus a hunky surf trainer, what’s not to love?
The story that unfolded between Roone and Kyle was a delight to read. The fact Roone is an elf gave the story that special magical feel but didn’t veer into the unbelievable.
For a short story it packed a yummy punch. The characters and plot were well developed and I could have easily devoured more. I was surprised to discover the author hasn’t got a long list of published books and hope he plans on writing more. He’d have a fan in me for sure.

It is alway’s good to try new authors so fingers crossed that there will be more books by TJ Nichols. I like the blurb and it will be fun and different to read a Christmas story with sun, sand and surf 🙂 Thank you for your review.
