Review:
Finally we are getting Kevin’s story. I was totally excited to see this one coming? When you follow the series you want to know what happens to all of them and so Kevin was the last of the 4 friends we were introduced to in the first book of this series.
And his love interest? Ooh boy firefighter Angus…fireworks…literarly and figuratively. Those two sizzle from the moment they meet.
We get to know a bit more about Kevin and the story tells of when Kevin kept an arsonist from burning down Bronco’s, the club that belongs to his best friend Zach’s partner Bull. From that point on we see different fire’s and unfortunately with sad endings. Angus is a fireman who talks to Kevin after the first fire and they find there is something there. This is where the story fell a bit flat compaired to the ones before. It wavers a bit forward and backward with finding the arsonist who has his eyes on Kevin and Angus with Kevin trying to make something, or not, of what is happening between them.
There is some expected drama between both men and an ex making a short appereance but with friends, support and help from different angles they both seem to find what they are looking for.
I was very happy with the mention of Kevin’s friends (the main characters from the first 3 books Zach, Jeremy & Trisan) and especially the connection with Zach and Bull. I still regret to an extent that these books were written as stand-alones, where there was so much wonderful there between all the couples and their friends and relationships.
A story by Andrew Grey never dissapoints in my opinion and it is always a succesfull read for me, but I obviously have my preferences. This series is solid and also this final book adds to that. I liked the men who featured in this series and their choosen life partners and I am very pleased about the fact that Mister Grey announced there will be some kind of spin off coming (I sure hope we will get Antonio’s story in there!!)
I am already anticipating the next release by Mister Grey and will definitely keep an eye out on this new series coming.
