TITLE: Worth the Wait
SERIES: Dreamspinner Advent Calendar 2015 – Sleigh Ride
AUTHOR: Caitlin Ricci & Cari Z
PUBLISHER: Dreamspinner Press
LENGTH: 32 pages
BLURB:
When Tate promises his niece Addie he’ll get a book signed by her favorite author, he never expects to end up in a line four blocks long with sleet coming down around him. It’s three days until Christmas and he’s cold and miserable, but Addie will be devastated if he gives up.
A cute guy who offers him an umbrella is just the encouragement Tate needs to stick it out, especially when Brandon brings him something hot to drink. But the signing ends before Tate can get to the front of the line, and Tate is sure he’s ruined Christmas for his niece. Luckily Brandon gets him in to see the author, who happens to be his mother.
A simple thank you isn’t enough for Tate, and neither he nor Brandon wants to end things there. For two men unused to such an instant mutual attraction, the Christmas season just got a little more merry.
REVIEW:
This was a really cute, super sweet, way too short story. I really enjoyed both of these characters. Tate is the Saint of all Uncles when he stands outside in the heavy rain to wait for an autograph of his niece’s favorite author. Unfortunately things don’t go as planned and he is stuck, in the freezing cold with no autograph.
What transpires is just too sweet to even imagine. Brandon is immediately attracted to Tate after seeing him in the line so he goes out of his way to make him as comfortable as possible. He also stays in the line, in the elements with Tate just to keep him company and spend more time together.
These two were adorable. Absolutely adorable and I loved the mother, as well. She was great.
My biggest frustration was how abrupt this ended. This was no ending it was like mid-thought and then it ended. Totally frustrating. I’d love to read more about these two. Hopefully something longer and more satisfying is in the works.

I really like your review and the blurb so i wanted to read it but i put it on my (maybe) tbr list for now because i don’t like abrupt endings.
It was a super cute story but the ending stopped so suddenly I got whiplash…
