REVIEW:
The story begins when Adam starts driving transport trucks in Iraq as a civilian contractor stationed with the Marines. Adam is Tim’s brother, which may have something to do with his bias against Marines as well as his negative feelings toward werewolves. Despite his bitterness Adam starts to fall for an Omega werewolf named Dawson. Adam imagines his attraction for Dawson is a secret, but he soon finds out that werewolves can smell arousal. Adam and Dawson come together early in the book, but Adam still doesn’t know much about shifter customs. Based on the behavior he sees on base, Adam is not impressed. After having a run-in with a shifter officer, Adam calls out the werewolves for intimidating and attempting to assault their weaker human counterparts. The confrontation escalates when Dawson takes action to remedy the situation.
This was an incredibly sexy book. Adam and Dawson were absolutely perfect together. Adam was so hot when he submits and I loved how he gets embarrassed whenever he’s in a situation where others can guess the role he plays in his relationship with Dawson. There’s an extraordinary amount of sex, but it is all very hot. Even though the two get together early on in the book, it takes them some time to work through some of their issues. Dawson manages to gradually change Adam’s mind about werewolves as well as marines, which warms Adam to the idea of having a relationship. In the end, it comes down to a choice for Adam and I loved what he chooses. Though I more than enjoyed this book, there were some times in the middle where it felt like the story began to drag. However, things seemed to pick up after Tim gets out of trouble. Overall, the book was another fantastic addition to the series, and I look forward to reading book #4. I recommend this book to anyone who likes M/M Shifter Fantasy & Erotic Romance.
