BLURB:
College student Milo Brickman is in a bind as he tries to figure out how he’s supposed to afford a master’s degree. His best friend points him to an ad looking for guys to star in light kink scenes. It’s good money and his friend has worked for the company before, so Milo gives it a shot. On the job, Milo meets porn veteran Sullivan Craine, who Milo falls for—hard.
When Milo and Sullivan are thrown together for a scene all about denying Milo pleasure, Milo is desperate for more by the time the director yells, “Wrap!” Convincing Sullivan he’s okay with a boyfriend who is not only much older than him, but who’s made a career in porn, is a tough sell—but one that Milo is determined to make.
REVIEW:
In a bind for some quick cash, Milo’s friend points him in the direction of an ad looking for people to star in kinky scenes, on film and be paid handsomely for doing so. So begins Milo’s journey into the porn industry. With that in mind I expected this story to pretty much be porn without plot. How wrong I was! Despite the setting I actually found this to be a really sweet story. Sullivan treated Milo with the upmost respect. The sex was hot and the chemistry between them undeniable. It was a no brainer Milo was going to want more after the curtain came down and the cameras went out! But that is where the story ended. I am guessing this is the start to a series, a teaser to reel the reader in.
Of course I had a few reservations, or my rating would be higher. I am no expert on how people go about recruiting new members to star in porn, but I found it difficult to swallow (no pun intended) an ad being placed on line… also providing an address! Come on, how risky is that! Not only for the people advertising but also for potential applicants. Milo could have been a cop… worse the guys he went to meet could have been all kinds of bad, bad men. Not only did Milo agree to the sex, he also agreed to be tied up! Yep, risky stuff! Thankfully everything was above board.
Given the setting, and it started with Milo being told he’d be tied up, teased and denied, I found the sex to be very ‘soft’. When he was asked if he’d be willing to try something more hardcore I was cheering from the sidelines, yes turn up the heat, get down and dirty! But alas, what followed was some sweet vanilla lovin’. In a nutshell I expected more, but that’s on me, and no reflection on a well penned story. I’d love to read a full length novel by this no longer new to me author.
I recommend this story to lovers of MM romance, some sexy loving, and who don’t mind stories with an open ending.
