BLURB:
Major Tim Madison has his hands full. A young Alpha werewolf has stormed into his personal life, while Tim struggles to keep military werewolves from safe on the front lines.
After a fiery exit from Afghanistan, Tim Madison is promoted to major. Jeremy Wagner is a civilian, just beginning his Transition to True Alpha. As a lone wolf, he has no one to teach him the vital principles of strong leadership. After a volatile chance encounter, Tim and Jeremy form an intimate bond. As Jeremy prepares to someday lead his own pack, Tim struggles with military werewolves being needlessly maimed in combat, as well as specifically targeted by hostile forces. Despite Tim and Jeremy’s feelings, werewolf and human politics or family conflict could prevent their mate-bond.
REVIEW:
I loved the first book, but this one was even better. A Marine Major, Tim, who is in the same unit with Lucas and Noah, falls for a young true alpha. The Marines first have a run-in with the young alpha named Jeremy when he is going through his alpha transition. Something has set him off making him highly aggressive, and he picks a fight with the group of Marines. When the situation is brought under control, the Tim and his Marine colleagues adopt the lone wolf so they can train him to come into his alpha. Tim is drawn to Jeremy from the start and it quickly becomes apparent that they are mates.
This book was spectacular. I’m not sure why, but I thought the chemistry between Tim and Jeremy was even hotter than it was between Lucas and Noah in book one. Tim has confidence issues at first and I loved seeing him grow into a man and learn to assert his natural dominance. In contrast, Tim is dominant at first but not afraid to submit when the time comes. There was an extraordinary amount of graphic sex in this book, but the erotic scenes were so amazing that I wouldn’t mind one bit if Tim and Jeromy never left their bed. In addition to the spectacular erotica, I loved the military setting and was particularly fond of the mythology references that the author mixes in with her werewolf lore. I am in love with this series and am so glad I discovered it. Kendall McKenna is a new favorite author for me. I recommend The Tameness of the Wolf series to anyone who loves M/M shifter fantasy, erotic romance, and military themed fiction.
