REVIEW:
What a fantastic story! I was immediately drawn into the mystical world the author created. She had a way of bringing the characters and creatures to life. The scene with the pixies and their pet squirrel was simply adorable. It’s great to be able to smile even when the plot is on the darker side. Persephone’s mother made a bargain with the devil and was now paying the price, with poor Persephone being an unwitting player. When the greater picture of Hayden came about it took me by surprise. I wouldn’t call the ending a cliffhanger per say, more that it is left open with plenty of directions to continue in. I will definitely read more.
Why not 5 stars? The erotic content wasn’t entirely for me. I think women are beautiful together so introducing a cold hard synthetic (strap-on) toy took away from the love scene for me! I have nothing against toys, especially when an author is trying to vary the scenes, but this was a short story, so reading that scene I felt like I might as well have picked up a FM story. This is total on me, I get we all like different things!
Bottom line – despite my misgiving over the sexual content, the greater story was wonderful and I look forward to continuing
