Something evil is going down in Atlanta…
Mojo Mysteries, Book 3
Adrian Broussard and Greg Woodhall are attending OutlantaCon, Atlanta’s annual gay geek conference, and are looking forward to a weekend of cosplay and general nerdy fun. As they mingle with other conference goers, though, Adrian feels a strange, cold energy emanating from a man dressed as a satyr.
Encounters with storybook creatures roaming the streets only increase the chilly tendrils teasing Adrian’s sixth sense—strong enough to cause disturbing visions of Greg’s existence being erased.
When a girl at the conference goes missing, then turns up dead, clues literally drop in their laps as Adrian begins to fear the cold, alien energy is engulfing the whole city. And in danger of swallowing up his lover.
To Adrian’s horror, his worst nightmare is realized. Now both he and Greg must call on reserves of strength and resourcefulness they never knew they possessed to save Atlanta, and each other.
REVIEW:
Wow, this book had me up early and I didn’t stop reading until I had finished this book. I picked this book because I remember reading some of Ally’s other books and I knew Adrian’s last name. When I started reading and FINALLY figured out why…I was like…Damn…I knew that last name.
I liked that this book is part of a series. I liked that even though this is the 3rd book in the series, I totally could follow everything without feeling lost and confused. I would say that each book is a standalone and even though reading them in order would be cool…you could pick up this book and follow along with no problems.
This is the story of Adrian and his longtime boyfriend, Greg. Now, if you’ve read any of Ally’s Bay City Paranormal Investigations series, Adrian’s father is Bo Brossard and his stepfather is Sam Raintree. Ya I Know…cool right. Anywhoo…these two young men have been in a relationship for 5 years and in those 5 years…they’ve had an adventure or 3. This time, they’ve headed to Hot-Lanta for a weekend of fun and cosplay. The problem is…Adrian feels that something of really off. He still makes an attempt to have a good time. Until…murder and mayhem occur and our guys are thrust into some otherworldly shit.
Greg…now he just made me smile. He’s this really sweet, fun-loving guy who just wants to have a good time with his guy and enjoy some cosplay costumes and parties. What he gets is murder, physical violence and being pulled into Hell-Lanta…this alternate dimension full of things that go bump in the night. Well, bump and murder. Greg has been in some situations before but this is a whole other level of WTF!! Poor Greg, I think that he just had the worst luck in this book and yet, when all is said and done, he just outdid what the thought he could endure.
There was just a bit of sexy times in this book and you know what…that was perfect. This way it didn’t overshadow all of the adventure that we were taken on. The sexy times weren’t very graphic, but you could tell that these two gentlemen really loved each other.
Now, the action and adventure that you were taken on was really top rated. I started this book and didn’t stop to do anything but drink coffee until it was over. This book had me imagining all of the things that was laid out on the screen and I was there with both Adrian and Greg. I could feel the fear and anxiety that they were feeling. I was there with them and that is truly the work of an amazing author,
This is one book that I will say is definitely worth reading and now…I must go back and read the Bay City Paranormal Series as well as the Mojo Mysteries. Pick up this book and be prepared to go on a fantastic journey that will make your heart hurt as well as keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how this all ends.
Good Job, Ally!! Very Well Done!! I look forward to the next installment!!
