REVIEW:
This book was great. When Ryan is faced with the fact that his sister is going to die from cancer, he is desperate to do something to save her life. Ryan reaches out to his friend who is into the occult. Though Ryan has never believed in the supernatural, he jumps at the chance when his friend gives him a way to summon a demon who will grant him a wish. Ryan summons the demon and meets the charismatic Zavier.
Zavier has not always been a demon. He was once a human who traded his soul to save the life of his lover, but South suppressed his memories and employed him as a soul collector. His job is to grant wishes in exchange for the soul of the person who makes the request. However, Zavier’s job weighs heavily on his conscience, which means he hasn’t been the ideal employee for South. When Ryan and Zavier meet, they both notice something strange about each other. Together they discover something about their past that links them together, and the discovery puts them both in danger.
I was in love with this book from the beginning. Though this book has no lack of sexiness, the plot was really what drew me in. I was concerned for Ryan whenever his deal was on the line and was also afraid that Zavier would get into trouble for breaking the rules. Although I was able to guess what loophole would get them out of their predicament, this in no way diminished my enjoyment of the book. In fact, there was a time that I was thinking they wouldn’t figure it out and they’d be doomed to suffer the punishment from South. However, the suspense never fades, and I was overjoyed with how things turned out in the end. I recommend Demon of Mine to anyone who loves m/m romance, and paranormal fantasy.
