He’s coasting through his early twenties when he’s hit head-on by Theo. Now everyone wants in on the wedding, except the grooms…
REVIEW:
I am unquestionably and undeniably a KA Mitchell fan. Regularly Scheduled Life is still one of my all time favorites. So, needless to say I jumped with delight when I realized not only was KA Mitchell releasing a new book but also a new series!! Yiiiiiiippppppeeee!!!!
This series starts with a group of 4 college friends, Jax, Theo, Dane, and Gideon getting together to catch up. Its obvious there may be something more between two of them but you can tell the bond they all feel for each other is tight and lifelong. They vow to always take time once a year to get together and catch up, no matter what’s going on in their lives…
Put a Ring on It book 1 in the Ready or Knot Series is Theo’s story.
Kieran and Theo are a couple in a 13 month established relationship. It was very apparent from the onset that Kieran seemed a little detached. Not overly so, I think it appeared more apparent because Theo Kieran’s decade older boyfriend was so completely over the top with his emotions. And I don’t say over the top because it was too much, it seems Theo goes above and beyond with everything. It’s endearing and obviously a huge part of his personality.
We know from the title and blurb there’s a huge engagement and when I say HUGE….OMG…Kieran’s reaction made perfect sense to me. So, they get engaged and unfortunately everything doesn’t go as planned. What I really appreciated about Kieran and Theo was the fact they really didn’t let things sit and fester too long. I think they were pretty good with the communication. Kieran struggled more so with emotion and communication but I think like I said earlier there has to be some sort of detachment issue there, maybe due to the fact that he was adopted. I liked Kieran I think he coped and dealt the only way he knew how and I loved how he fought for him and Theo. Reading their story was a pleasure. I really enjoyed them as a couple.
There’s quite a bit going on here…including Theo’s friends who pop in from time to time and meddle. They definitely wetted my appetite for the next book.
Overall, I think this is a promising start to a series and I’m looking forward to Jax’s story. I recommend this one, for sure!!
