A warm welcome to the next featured author on our GRL blog tour , Morticia Knight!
Welcome Morticia 🙂
Guest Post & First Excerpt from Upcoming Sin City Book
Thank you so much for having me here at Love Bytes for one of my stops on the GRL blog tour!
I’m mega excited that GRL is going to be in San Diego this year. For one thing – I live on the west coast in Oregon. However, I was born and raised in Southern California and have spent a lot of time in San Diego. If there’s any way at all that you can finagle an extra day or two for your stay, there are a lot of worthwhile things to enjoy while you’re there. I’m not leaving until Wednesday, so I’m up for some sightseeing after the con if anyone wants to join me. Here are a few places you might want to consider:
- San Diego Zoo – This is the one zoo to rule them all. It’s definitely worth visiting and you’ll want to plan to spend the day. It’s massive! This is a good time of the year to visit it, since there’s a lot of ground to cover and you’ll be less likely to pass out from the notorious California heat. The zoo also has a strong, positive reputation for wildlife conservation. It’s located in Balboa Park.
- Speaking of Balboa Park, you could spend a week there alone. In addition to the zoo, there are a ton of museums, as well as beautiful landscapes and gardens to enjoy. I personally love the natural history museum, but I’m a sucker for that no matter where one is located. This one has what used to be an IMAX theatre, but is now a 3D screen that shows features based on the theme of the museum. If you want to check out one of the other museums, it would be worthwhile to see if there are any special exhibits happening to help you make a choice.
- Sea World – If you even think you might like sea creatures, this is a must see. I’ve always enjoyed visiting this attraction, and in addition to the shows, there are plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with dolphins and other things wet and wild. *snicker*
I’m ready to have some romance and touristy fun – how about you? As a special GRL exclusive, I’m going to share a first excerpt from the upcoming Sin City Uniforms release, Negotiating Love. It’s not on early download or preorder until September 29th, so I really am being a tease – but you guys get the sneak peek! This installment in the series tell Steve’s story – he’s the hostage negotiator and Cole’s *cough* fuck buddy from Held Hostage. The hunky SWAT team member finds himself falling for Allistair – a kinky, spoiled rich boy who owns the Dark Fantasy resort casino.
“I could’ve waited until breakfast was brought up. I don’t mind.”
Allistair smiled back. Does he realize how absolutely adorable he is? “You’re a kind man, Steve. Don’t think I don’t see that. But I assure you—my staff is paid more generously than you can probably imagine to cater to my whims.”
Steve rolled over, then rose from the bed. Allistair openly stared. Steve was more than aware of how much Allistair worshipped his body, so there was no purpose in being coy.
Steve glanced around the floor, and Allistair assumed he was attempting to gather his discarded clothing from the night before.
“I draped them on the chair by the desk.”
He indicated to the wing chair next to his small work area. He did his best to keep his business life out of his personal space, but with his level of responsibility, it was near impossible.
Steve gave him a puzzled look. “When did you do that?”
It was all so different from the other times they’d been together. They’d never even lain in the playroom bed after they’d taken their pleasure with each other. Steve would always scoop up his clothes, dress, then leave right afterward.
Not anymore.
He allowed himself a real smile instead of the practiced one he typically wore. Steve was causing him to awaken.
Steve shuffled through his clothes and Alistair knew exactly what he was searching for.
“After you passed out. I don’t sleep much. Oh, and don’t bother. You won’t find them.”
Steve straightened, still naked and holding his black jeans. “Oh?” His eyebrows were arched.
“Souvenir.”
“Ah. I see.”
Steve regarded him openly and Allistair was sure he could detect affection in his gaze. He sincerely hoped he wasn’t reading into it what he wanted as opposed to what was actually there.
“But you taunted me with the promise of others for our trip, from what I recall?”
Steve sauntered over to him, slowly, his gaze hooded. He stopped within a foot of Allistair, then ran his hand up and down his arm, his touch soothing. “I didn’t taunt. I have them. You haven’t seen me in any of them yet, either.”
Heat coursed through Allistair, the mere thought of Steve taking him into consideration when packing for their trip stoking his desire. “We should take breakfast on the plane. Get to our destination sooner.”
Steve leaned in, rubbing his morning stubble against Allistair’s, nuzzling him. Allistair liked the newly emboldened Steve. They were opening up to each other. He sighed in satisfaction.
Steve gave him a chaste kiss before pulling back. “Ah, yes. But isn’t it true that everything comes to he who waits?”
“I’m counting on it.” Allistair smacked Steve’s ass again. “Don’t shower yet. I want to join you.”
Steve narrowed his eyes. “Bossy.”
Allistair gave a slight toss of his head, crossing his arms. “Well, as it turns out, I am the boss.”
From the looks of Steve’s leaking shaft and the flush to his skin, he didn’t have a problem at all with Allistair being the boss.

Author Morticia Knight spends most of her nights writing about men loving men forever after. If there happens to be some friendly bondage or floggings involved, she doesn’t begrudge her characters whatever their filthy little heart’s desire. Even though she’s been crafting her naughty tales for more years than she’d like to share – her adventures as a published author began in 2011. Once upon a time she was the lead singer in an indie rock band that toured the West Coast and charted on U.S. college radio. She currently resides on the northern Oregon coast and when she’s not fantasizing about hot men she takes walks along the ocean and annoys the local Karaoke bar patrons.

It’s great that Steve’s getting his own story! Wish I were going to GRL, but unfortunately I’ll have to live vicariously by reading all the blog/Facebook posts and tweets.
Love the sound of this. Thanks for the chance.
