Dark magic draws them together, but they’re generating sparks all on their own.
Culper, Colorado, is a one-everything town. One stoplight. One post office-slash-pawn shop-slash-bakery. And one bookstore, which Shiloh volunteers to watch while the owner is on vacation. It’s a nice change of pace to her lonely life.
While perusing the shelves, Shiloh finds a book that contains some shockingly naughty illustrations. When all sorts of mystical disasters start happening, Shiloh is sure they’re somehow connected to the book. But by then it’s too late to simply put it back on the shelf.
Liam and Elijah’s response to the town’s call for help is a first. Their first paranormal case, and their first in-person meeting. They’re long time online friends with a common interest in the unexplainable, but they’re shocked by the sparks that fly, not only between the two of them, but between them and Shiloh.
Somehow the book’s dark magic is not only the catalyst, but is also feeding off their sexual attraction. They must work together to figure out how to put the escaped entity back where it belongs—before it closes the book on their budding relationship.
Warning: Contains wild acts of sexual magic, a porny old book about demons, and a threesome where the boys touch each other as well as their woman.
REVIEW:
It’s during the week Shiloh was looking after the Minotaur Bookshop for Bella in the incredibly small township of Culper, Colorado that she comes across a very intriguing book that is simply called, Summoning. When she makes the mistake of opening the book she discovers it’s filled with spells to summon genies, selkies, wizards and goats. Goats?, well, yes more like men that resemble goats and the further she looks through the book the more shocking the illustrations are and then there is a bunch of well-endowed men with huge racks of antlers and even bigger packages! When Shiloh went home that night she made sure she had the book with her, for some reason she couldn’t get the thought of the goat-man with the incredibly large erection out of her mind. She hasn’t had a relationship or even sex for several years and she desperately needs to get laid!
When spooky things start happening like hearing footsteps on her veranda that sound exactly like hooves and feeling a cold breeze whilst she’s inside her house but the scariest is when she’s relaxing in the hot springs and almost drowns herself when she hears the clatter of hooves at the edge of the pool then there’s no one around when she looks. No one, but a lot of water that definitely shouldn’t be there!
Elijah Mourning Dove can feel the disturbance in the air as soon as he arrives in Culper. The energy is off and he needs to find out what’s going on. When he finds the coffee shop for a much-needed cup of coffee and something to eat he’s sitting at his table when he sees Shiloh for the first time and he’s smitten, he can’t believe how incredibly beautiful she is. When he finds out that his online colleague Liam is also in Culper he can’t believe his luck, he’s finally going to meet Liam! They’ve been talking online for years, he doesn’t believe in coincidence so there must be something happening in Culper. They both are both paranormal investigators and they’ve both been called in to help with the situation by two different people. Nova, Shiloh’s friend who works at the hot springs told Elijah about the hoof prints on the side of the pool and Bella, who owns the Minotaur Bookshop who told Liam about the strange book Summoning.
Neither man can believe the level of sexual energy flying around town. They are both admittedly bi-sexual but they can’t believe they’re both attracted to not only each other but Shiloh as well. As they get further into the investigation they realise that the ‘goat-man’ is actually a sexual god. There’s a lot of hot and heavy sex from here on out! They can’t get enough of each other even though they all know it’s the energy in town that’s making them go at it like bunnies. They discover the first person to use the book was in fact Shiloh’s father because he was so lonely, then Bella used it when her wife disappeared. Now the god want’s all of the towns women for himself.
The story gets a bit confusing in places but all in all Book of Love is a very enjoyable sexy mystery with lots of hot sex but there’s also sad moments when Bella “finds” her wife. I am recommending this book to all ménage, mystery and paranormal romance lovers.
