REVIEW:
You know, book 1 was sort of a letdown for me but I connected with a lot of the characters and the story so I knew I’d dive right into book 2. I’m so happy and thankful that I did because book 2 was friggin fantastic. I loved Andrew and Owen. These two had such an amazing and deep connection almost from the beginning. You could feel what they meant to each other throughout every interaction. When they had to separate, I hurt with them. What I really enjoyed with this book was how different it is from book 1 and a lot of other series. The long distance situation, the game show, and the drama between their friends…it all just added so many elements that made this book shine.
Owen King found out he had a brother and his brother had died all in a matter of a few months. Reeling and dealing with some personal issues at work he finally decides to visit where his brother lived and meet his friends. He’s not prepared for Andrew, the roommate who took his brothers place in the house.
Andrew Teagan lives for his small café, Busy Day. He’s put everything he has into the café and loves running his business. He’s not looking for a boyfriend but can’t help the attraction he feels for Owen. They continue running into each other all over town and realize maybe they should see where their attraction goes even though Owen is only visiting.
I’m really enjoying this author’s writing. I enjoyed it in book 1 and I’m really getting more and more into it. I love when series really make you crave the next book and that is exactly what this one has done. I can’t wait to read the others stories.
I recommend reading these books. I don’t see this as a standalone there are too many connections between both books. So get book 1 and start there…..and enjoy!
