TITLE: An Omega for Two Bears
SERIES: Bear Mountain #3
AUTHOR: Kelex
PUBLISHER: Twisted E-Publishing, LLC
LENGTH: 103 Pages
BLURB:
Asher McCreary not only has a terrible family name, but he’s an omega as well. After years of abuse by his wild family, he’s finally broken into too many pieces by a would-be pair of murderers. As he lays in his hospital bed, he finds champions in Graham and Airan, the Bear Mountain sheriff and doctor, both adamant they’ll protect him from the ones who fractured him.
Graham found the omega bear battered and left for dead in the woods of Bear Mountain. Unable to ignore the mating scent, he’s shocked to learn he and Airan are bound to another bear, not the human they’d expected.
Overcoming their odd match will be the least of their worries when Asher’s attacker comes after the trio full force, ready to destroy as many bears that get in his way to the head of the council table.
REVIEW:
I’m here to tell you that the third book in the Bear Mountain series is just as good as the first two! I read it straight through in one quick sitting, eagerly flipping the pages. Kelex continues to delight me with this continuing saga of the Bears and their human mates on Bear Mountain.
Asher McCreary is from that terrible McCreary family that we heard so much about in the previous two books. A family who thinks themselves outside the law, sticking to themselves and having no social skills, even when community interaction is necessary. Truthfully, while reading these books, I’ve pictured a family of backwoods rednecks (not that there is anything wrong with rednecks…but you know who I mean…those families that could star in a remake of Deliverance!)
Asher has been kept in chains his entire life because he is an Omega and his fathers think he is an embarrassment to the family. Treated as a slave, he has been raised thinking he is lower than the rest of the family and his duty is to serve them.
When his two fathers decide they want to make some quick cash, they sell his virginity to two bears as a sex slave. The bears come to the house and rape him against his will and leave. (That scene is off screen with very few details, so shouldn’t be a trigger). When he ends up pregnant, all hell breaks loose. There is where the story ties to the events in book two. Asher is found beaten and almost dead while the Sheriff, Graham, is looking for the killers of the two bears from book two.
What will happen though when Graham and his Doctor husband, Airan, realize that Asher is their mate? Bears don’t mate with bears! It is against Bear Law! Of course we also have more from that a-hole Traylon who we despised in the previous books and his bluster is still in full force, but I think you will enjoy the final solution to that problem!
I recommend this book, but recommend you pick up and read the first two books in the series first so that you know who everyone is. I thoroughly enjoyed all three. They aren’t as heavy on sex as some of Kelex’s work, which is a good thing in my opinion. I like a book with a good storyline, and this series definitely provides that.
As a final note, please make sure you read the end note comments from the author. The author shares a very personal moment from their own life which is important for you to read.
