Hi everyone! I’m here again with my monthly post, thanking Love Bytes for giving me a spot. This month, I’m going to do something quite different—fewer words, more pictures. Yes there will be a contest, and of course it’s easy to enter. But before I do that, I’m going to clear up “old business.”
First, I apologize for last month. I forgot to say what the prize would be! What kind of contest poster does that? Arrrggh! Also, links never went live and the images never showed up. If you need a link from last month’s post let me know and I’ll get it for you. As for the images I wanted to post… okay, I’ll go back and put them in there, as well as the info about the contest prize. I never let people know about the post, so responses were, um… let’s not talk about it? Once I get the post fixed, I’ll open that contest up and it will run alongside this one until the end of this month. And I’ll tell people… really!
Update: I did get last month’s post fixed, you can enter both contests. Wild chance!
So now…
“Every picture tells a story, don’t it?” Or so sang Rod Stewart (in 1971, when he was actually quite popular on the charts). I think so, too, and I know a lot of writers who frequently take inspiration for stories from pictures. I actually don’t, although a picture can send me a little deeper into a story or a character sometimes. But, as I said, not a lot of words in this post. Just enough to tell you about the contest.
I’m going to post some pictures, and give you a chance to tell me a story. Not that you have to be a writer, just give me a few words about what’s going on. What the person or people are thinking. What happened before, What did someone say? What kind of kiss is that? Just use your imagination or experience, and it’s easy, right? I’m going to pick the winner at random, as always, but this time, the more stories you tell the more entries you get. (It will help me avoid confusion if you post each story in a separate comment, but that’s not required.)
The prize: A $10 Gift Certificate for Dreamspinner Press (including Harmony Ink and DSP Publications).
Here we go! (To see the image large, click on it.)
Thank you all. I’m looking forward to hearing your stories!

2nd row 2nd picture:
Paul and Rob have been dating for 2 weeks. Paul is kind of a geek and has no filter of his mouth at times. Rob has said something and Paul replied with what popped in his mind. A sexual innuendo. Paul is laughing and embarrassed so he places his head on Rob’s shoulder to hide his face

Second row, middle: These are friends who always kid each other about the guys they like. One has just revealed that he has always had a crush on the other, and just found out that the feeling’s mutual.
I’m still not seeing a comment box in last month’s post, so I guess I’ll just answer here if that’s okay. I don’t specifically seek out or avoid kink in my books. I like it best as a way to reflect and deepen the dynamic between characters, so its effectiveness depends on the characters’ relationship and how kink figures into the plot. Of course, tacked-on or (especially) badly done or obviously unsafe BDSM are dealbreakers for me!
1st row 2nd picture. These two are walking home from an anniversary dinner There have been innuendos and looks all night. Finally , passion won out and they grabbed each other and gave into their passion.
3rd row last picture-These two have just admitted to loving each other and that this was making love not fucking. (sorry for the language)
1st row last picture- This gentlemen is laying claim to his boyfriend after he has won Miss Drag Queen at his favorite club
Okay still not seeing a comment box on the Kinkest post from last month. I’ll answer here.
I was introduced to BDSM by picking up the first in the Hammer series by Sean Michael. I was hooked. I love the depth of trust and commitment the lifestyle has. Also there are so many variations of the the lifestyles. One thing that fascinates me is the use of Sounds.
Some of my favorite author of kink are Sean Michael, KC Wells, SJD Peteron, LM Somerton, Thianna Dunstan
