A warm Love Bytes welcome to the next author who features our blog on the GRL Blog Tour : Carter Quinn!
Carter talks to us about GRL and brought a wonderful giveaway !
Welcome Carter 🙂
So it’s almost GRL time again. Wow. It doesn’t seem possible. It’s been such an incredibly difficult year, I’m ready for some fun and games. Or the beach. Weather willing, that’s where you’ll probably find me most of the time. I’ve missed the ocean. I haven’t seen it since 1998, and I haven’t seen the Pacific since 1994. That’s far too long for someone who used to live in Florida.
While it’s been an emotionally and physically taxing year, with the death of my dad in July 2014, the death of my best girl Yashe in October 2014, and a serious infection in my legs that screwed with my brain for a while this spring, it’s also been fairly productive by my standards. I released Vanished last September, Fire & Rain in January, and Into the Light in March. I’m not finished yet! I have three more releases slated for this year, including Vanished 2 on September 26.
Wait, what? Yes, finally. I know some of you have been waiting, wanting to know what the hell is going on with Henry. Well, you’ll finally get to see. I’m excited for this one. I hope you love it. Poor Henry. Is he taking another trip to Crazytown? Is Tom really dead? What are Matthew and Althea up to? Is Shaun who he appears to be? Some will be revealed—hey, there’s still Vanished 3. I have to keep some secrets.
Next year is gearing up to be super crazy. I’m scheduled to write almost 600,000 words, only some of which will be released in 2016.
But before any of that, I’ll get to see YOU if you’re coming to GRL! A few things to know about me up front: 1) I’m horrible with names, so I apologize in advance, 2) I’m pretty shy and socially awkward so I’ll undoubtedly have that deer in the headlights look and won’t know how to respond (I promise I’m not trying to be rude!), 3) I may be a bit emotional because the Monday before GRL will be one year since Yashe’s death. Show me pictures of your dog and I’ll show you some of Miss Girl, 4) I’m always happy to chat, so don’t be afraid to say hi any time—unless you’re afraid of that deer in the headlights look!
Before I go, I want to thank the Love Bytes crew for having me. Y’all are awesome! Big hugs!
Ooh! I have an idea! Post your cutest puppy pictures in the comments (can they do that, Dani?) of course and we’ll give away an ebook of your choice from my backlist to a random commenter. (Amazon won’t let me include Vanished because it’s Kindle Select, which means it’s already free to you if you’re a Kindle Unlimited subscriber!) And I’ll throw in another one to the cutest puppy picture!
Looking forward to seeing you at GRL!
Carter ‘s newest release is “Into the Light”
Avery spent years in the blackness, fighting memories of abuse and feelings of self-loathing. His only sanctuary used to be his brother Sam, but after two years of intensive therapy and a long-term relationship with Noah, his world is a much brighter place.
Things have changed in the year and a half since Avery and Noah confessed their love for each other. Noah’s mother and brother have moved East. Sam and Kira are married. And Avery and Noah are moving in together at long last. Family dynamics strain in uncomfortable new ways, especially when Avery’s past reappears.
What will this mean for Avery’s recovery? Will he surrender to the Blackness or is he strong enough to continue his journey Into the Light?
Carter Quinn was born and raised in a very small Western Kansas town where cattle vastly outnumber humans. In the 90s he read enough depressing gay fiction to give up on it. He discovered M/M in 2010 and started writing again. Now he’s told Corporate America to kiss his books. Carter lives entirely too far from his beloved Colorado Avalanche.

Thanks for the post. I hope your legs are better and you have a great time at GRL. I love the beach, too. Not sure I could go as long as you without seeing it.
No puppy pix, sorry. I just have one old cat (who rules the house).
Thanks, jenf27! All is well now, thankfully. You can post a pic of you cat if you would like and can figure out how. lol
Vanished rolled off of Kindle Select yesterday, so it’s available for the giveaways too!
Can’t figure out how to add a picture.
Thanks for the news! I can’t wait for Vanished 2 and there will be a 3rd book? Just awesome. This means it’s going to be a trilogy or there’ll be more?D
And I hope have a wonderful time in GRL!
Not sure how to post am image but here is a link 🙂

Great post! Have a fun time at GRL.
I do not own a puppy, dog, cat, or any other animal. I have 3 kids they are my pets. Sorry. But good luck at GRL!
No pets here either! Just my 84 year old Dad. Does that count as someone to take care of? LOL! Have a great time at GRL.
No pets for me. Have a great time at GRL!
Sorry, it’s been a while since my dog passed. So no pictures. But thanks to the power of Google, I found one of what she looked like as a puppy. Even the expression is the same, like she’s guilty of doing something wrong. (Which was usually digging holes…)

Those are adorable puppies! I think parents and kids count for sure. Yashe used to love to dig. She’d dig trenches instead of holes. Silly dog. Thanks for all the comments & love!
I so don’t know how to post a picture of my cats. This will be my first GRL and so lucky that it’s in my home town this year. I’m looking forward to meeting you. Can’t wait to read Vanished 2 & 3!
