This is part of a Series Review of Up-Ending Tad: A Journey of Erotic Discovery (Book #5)
AUTHOR: Kora Knight
PUBLISHER: Self Pub
SERIES REVIEW:
I know this is categorized as “Erotica” and this is for sure erotic as all get out but it was also beautifully romantic and I hate to think the romance comes second. What starts as a seriously HOT one-off, turns in something so much more. I loved how Scott and Tad were with each other. Even when both wanted to keep their distance there was something so carnal about their connection. These are the first books that I’ve read by this author and she DID NOT disappoint. This whole series is like an onion, each one has a new layer and it delves deeper into sexual explorations and emotional connection. These books were remarkable!!
I want more! I want spinoffs! I want Breck’s story! I want Max’s story!! I want it all and then I want seconds and thirds!! I HIGHLY recommend this whole series…I read all 5 in just a couple days…almost impossible to put down!!! Get them!!!
SERIES RATING:
BOOK 5 TITLE: Bringing It Home
LENGTH: 121 pages
BLURB:
It’s Friday night and Tad finds himself doing pretty much what he’d expected. Celebrating with his friends at a night club in honor of their buddy Breck’s birthday. The music’s pumping, drinks are flowing, as laughter and dancing bodies abound.
Nothing too outlandish, nothing unusual.
Until Scott and his own crew show up at the place. Funny how the one person Tad prefers above all others is the last person he wants to see. But now that he’s spotted the guy across the room, he can’t seem to take his eyes off him. Which winds up being a very bad thing. Seems Scott out in public with other attractive men is a much different story than Tad’s used to.
As one disturbing event after another unfolds, Tad splits before he loses his mind. But the breather he needs he does not get. In fact, things just go from bad to worse, the night ending on a note he never would have imagined. As things between Scott and him hit rock bottom, the only direction left must be up. If only Tad’s life would follow such a formula. But the path he’s been walking lately has never been that simple.
With a world of revelations finally revealed, can Tad find it in himself to make peace with Scott’s past so they can finally head into the future?
REVIEW:
This was such sweet, delicious icing on the Tad and Scott cake. Book 5 was without a doubt my absolute favorite…OBVIOUSLY ; ) this was perfection. It could not have been done better. Things as they were needed to shatter so they could be put back together stronger than before.
This book was riddled with such delicious angst. I absolutely adored all of the torture, insecurities, jealousy, and self righteous indignation. It was done so perfect for these two men. Nothing came off as childish or insecure. Scott and Tad face real issues that people face every day. They both have to live with their decisions while making the best decisions they can.
The bar scene just tore me up. Tad’s reactions were so visceral but they stemmed from insecurities and fear. The subsequent events that transpired after were so heart breaking. Knowing how much these men meant to the other but both so scared to trust, to love.
I really loved how this author was able to take a scenario that started as very impersonal and develop that into something that was so riddled with several different emotions was truly amazing. Though at times painful, the story and relationship developed perfectly. The cat and mouse push and pull that happens in relationships was here, just done in a different dynamic and that doesn’t take away from how deep these two felt for one another.
I can’t say it enough….GET THIS SERIES!!! GET IT!! It is absolutely decadent, and nasty, and kinky, and passionate, and so many more unbelievable emotions!!! I was so excited to read there will be a Book 6….an epilogue that sounds absolutely DIVINE….can’t wait!!!!
I highly recommend this series to everyone…!!!
