This is a Series Review of Bear Mountain Books 1 & 2
AUTHOR: Kelex
PUBLISHER: Twisted E-Publishing, LLC
SERIES REVIEW:
This is a review of the first two books in the new “Bear Mountain” series from Kelex. As with other works from Kelex, each book builds on the previous ones, and I’m expecting more books and more stories from Bear Mountain. The books are well written, have lots of hot sex, and are enjoyable. Have I mentioned that they are populated with big hairy bear shifters? I’m really enjoying the world building that Kelex has done, complete with the triads of two bears and one human which is the norm in the books. What gay man wouldn’t want two big hairy bears of their very own! The double penetration thing though might take some thought…. 🙂
I highly recommend this series. If you are into the more erotic end of m/m, or in the case of this series the m/m/m romance genre, then these books are for you! Kelex never fails to satisfy!

Newly dumped Carson Davies decides the vacation he’d planned to take his girlfriend on—in hopes of fixing their troubled relationship—is the perfect getaway he needs to clear his head. A few days of solitude, hiking along picturesque Bear Mountain is just what he thinks he needs to move on. But as soon as he arrives, he’s shocked by the sensual reaction he has to the two owners. The two male owners. Carson has never been attracted to a man, and he fights the sensation tooth and nail.
Royce and Jared know their mate as soon as he walks in the door of the main lodge. They’re ready to claim what’s theirs, but know they need to be careful. The man sees himself as straight, but that’s the least of their problems. They’ll need to show him their true nature, their inner bear, and hope it doesn’t send the man packing.
The shifters have just three days before the human is scheduled to go home. In a short span, they’ve got to show Carson how bound they all are and hope they can seduce the man into surrendering.
REVIEW:
One thing I love about a Kelex book…you will never wish there was more sex in it!
In “Bound to Two Bears”, the author introduces us to Carson Davies. Carson is your typical, everyday straight guy with a loving girlfriend of two years. They’ve planned a romantic getaway at a place called Bear Mountain, but the night they are preparing to leave, his bitch of a girlfriend announces she has met someone else, that their relationship is over, and he should move on. She is amazed that he still decides to go to Bear Mountain and spend the long weekend at the cabin they rented. His only thought is to get as far from that bitch as possible!
When he arrives at the resort, he is confronted by two big “bear like” men, Royce and Jared…and he could swear one of them had glowing eyes? He figures it was his imagination and is taken to his cabin. The cabin is a surprise, looking nothing like the one in the photos on line, but who is he to argue since it is way better than what he expected.
As the blurb says, Royce and Jared are bear shifters, and they both recognize that their mate has just arrived. What will follow? They only have 72 hours before check-out time, and trust me…they make use of them.
Liked this book a lot, and can’t wait to start the next installment!

Raised by bear shifters, Paul has always felt out of place. As a human, he’s not allowed to play a role in the shifter community he’s been surrounded by his entire life. When his job at Bear Mountain is jeopardized, he considers leaving the only home he’s ever known to seek out the thing that’s always felt missing in his life.
Betas Brynn and Tomas awaited their human mate for many years. When an orphaned infant showed up on their doorstep, they knew the male would one day grow to be their mate. Ignoring their protective instincts, they left the valley and the male behind, knowing they couldn’t be in his life or they’d threaten the future they’d one day have together.
When the two bears finally return to find Paul a man, they know it’s time to claim what they’ve always known was theirs.
REVIEW:
I’m really liking this continuing story of the bears of Bear Mountain. In “Claimed by Two Bears” we shift focus to Paul, the human we met in book one that works for Royce and Jared at the resort.
Paul has always felt like an outcast. A human raised in the bear world, but always looked down upon. He wasn’t allowed to attend the bear schools, he wasn’t allowed to mix with the bear cubs, and he was looked at as the lowest of the low by many….an unmated human.
But some always knew the truth. That Brynn and Tomas were Paul’s mates. That they had gone away into the human world twenty five years ago so that the orphaned infant that was Paul could be raised in the valley and on Bear Mountain.
Now Brynn and Thomas are back. Will things change? What about the naysayers, like Traylon, who will say and do anything to discredit Paul? And why does he hate Paul so much?
I liked how this book continued the story of Royce, Jared and Carson while at the same time bringing in new characters who became the MCs. Kelex has done a good job as usual with world building, and we’re learning more and more about this group of shifters as we go along.
Along the way, there is more sex (surprise…lol), lots of double penetration, and even some sex using clay as lubricant. Not so sure I’d try that at home! 😉
I really enjoyed this installment and can’t wait for the next one to arrive! I want to know more about Bear Mountain and its bears!
