After divorcing the woman he’d been with since he was seventeen, Nick Fuller is starting over. He owns the restaurant of his dreams and he’s determined to meet new people, find new passions, and experience life to its fullest. Easier said than done—that is until he meets his new neighbour, Bryce Tanner…
Bryce is all about a good time. He plans to show Nick how it’s done, help him meet a few women, and enjoy the gift of the single life he’s been given. But things don’t go as planned, and soon they realize they’d rather be together than with anyone else.
Neither man has ever wanted another guy, but there’s a connection between them from the start—a spark they can’t deny. They find themselves navigating an unfamiliar new world and dealing with unforeseen obstacles. Physical desire isn’t enough, and now Nick and Bryce are at a crossroads. They have to decide which way to go: the easy path they’ve always followed, or the one that’s determined to trip them up at every turn.
REVIEW by Tammy:
Nick Fuller has recently divorced his high school sweetheart and he’s determined to experience everything life has to offer except, he’s so busy at work he doesn’t have the time or the energy to experience anything! Which happens to be one of the main reasons for his divorce, his wife Jill felt that Nick spent all of his time building his restaurant and ignoring her so she cheated. Not to mention the fact that they both had judgemental, overly possessive mothers who had decided way back in high school that neither one of them were good enough for the other! Then he meets his new neighbour, Bryce Tanner.
Bryce is a party boy, he’s busy enjoying the benefits single life has to offer, a new woman every night and no attachments. When Bryce learns that Nick has only ever slept with his ex-wife Jill and no-one since the divorce Bryce decides to take Nick under his wing to help him meet women and enjoy being single. After spending the majority of their Saturday nights going out to clubs without any success in the woman department they realise they would rather spend their time together. Pretty soon if they’re not working Nick and Bryce can be found together, there’s a connection between them that neither can explain but neither of them ever look at women as prospective dates and if the one talks to or looks at a woman the “wrong” way the other gets a strange, unsettled feeling.
Bryce has been lying to his family for months about being in a committed relationship with his best friend Christi, they had tried having a relationship after Bryce recovered from a serious illness but they very quickly realised they make much better best friends than lovers. Bryce’s mother has loved Christi since they were in high school together and she has pinned her hopes and dreams of grandchildren on Bryce and Christi. Now, Bryce doesn’t have the heart to tell her their romance didn’t make it past the couple of months mark!
Both Nick and Bryce think nothing of the fact that neither of them have slept with a woman since they met and when Bryce has a family party to go to he invites Nick to go with him, he doesn’t even have to think twice about it. Christi is there as well but Bryce’s brother makes a comment about the fact that he hopes this relationship lasts, Bryce is confused because he is supposedly already in a relationship with Christi then his brother comments on the fact that he has never seen Bryce so attentive to a partner before but he practically doted on Nick all day! This is the defining moment for Bryce as he’s never thought of a man ‘that’ way but now that his brother has mentioned it he can’t get it out of his mind. Not being one to hold back Bryce goes to Nick’s place and kisses him so Nick punches him in the mouth! And so starts the beautiful sometimes incredibly confusing relationship between two straight men who fell in love with each other!
As with all of Riley Harts books Crossroads is another definite winner!! It is such a beautifully written love story full of self-discovery, self-courage and that’s not even mentioning all the hot monkey sex these two sexy men get up to! You are doing yourself a disservice if you haven’t read Crossroads already! Go forth and buy your copy, NOW!!

REVIEW by Kat
This is an entirely new author for me and I can say up front…this won’t be the last book I read of hers. I have never read a book that takes both main characters on a journey of personal discovery of their true sexuality…from perceived being straight heterosexual males, to both realizing they could actually be attracted to another man. Nick Fuller is a committed, monogamous, faithful divorcee who had been cheated on by his ex-‐wife and Bryce Tanner is a commitment phobic man only out for a good time while struggling with his future. I was intrigued and captivated by their struggles to come to terms with their attraction to each other and the stumbling blocks thrown up by some of their respective family members. It was refreshing to see several of the support characters not only recognize, but encourage, the budding relationship that neither knew how to process, let alone act upon.
I loved how Bryce’s “jump into the moment and see what happens” personality connected and interacted with Nick’s responsible and honorable persona. Both men captivated and entranced me with their struggles to see where this was going. My heart ached when Nick’s conservative, moralistically judgmental and domineering mother “attacked” Bryce for leading her son into a life that she wouldn’t even give a chance. It was heartbreaking and devastating. I was so proud of both men for standing up for each other, as they knew deep in their hearts that they were each other’s “the one” and fated to be mates for life.
I would highly recommend this new HEA book by the talented author Riley Hart and will look forward to reading more of her books. This is definitely a 5.0 book for me and I just hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.
