AUTHOR: JR Bryce
PUBLISHER: Self pub
LENGTH: 73 pages
BLURB:
When Mike Granite left his ‘getting out of the Navy’ party early, he hadn’t expected anyone to follow him. Or for it to mean as much as it did when it happened. And he definitely didn’t expect anything lasting to come out of a fling with a necessarily closeted man. But it did. And then life happened, and all he wanted to do was pick up the pieces of his lover and hold him together until he healed.
Tony hadn’t meant to make a move, but when the opportunity presented itself he’d done it without thinking. And then it just got better, despite the odds. However, the reality of his way life came crashing home and he forgot about the happiest time of his life. The question became whether or not he’d be able to find it in himself to hope for a better future than the present he was stuck in.
REVIEW:
Mike has made a career in the Navy and is now retiring, not because he’s tired of Naval life but because he can’t take being around his fellow team member Tony. Tony is a distraction that can get them both killed and the attraction he has for him is not good for either one of their careers. Tony decides to follow Mike after leaving his going away party and confront him. Mike lets the cat out of the bag and gets a big surprise when Tony takes charge and kisses him.
Mike discovers that he wasn’t the only one hiding an attraction to his brother in arms. The kiss turns into more and a relationship develops. Tony does the one thing that can make it as official, he makes Mike his next of kin. When Tony has to go back to duty can what they have survive Navy life?
JR Bryce is a new author and has a great talent for telling stories. This is her second release but her first in the m/m category and I was not disappointed. She is able to pull you into the world she has created and keeps you wanting more. With Trifecta she tells the story of two Naval men and how hard it can be to hide ones feelings in that world but how if you follow your heart you just might find the one you were meant to be with. The attraction between Mike and Tony is undeniable and the few other characters are just as great and help enhance the story. So go grab yourself a copy, get caught up in love and wait with anticipation for part two with me.
