REVIEW:
The story begins with Owen walking through the woods and he’s so horny that he can’t keep his hands off himself. As a druid apprentice he isn’t allowed to have sex, which makes his situation more desperate. Then Owen runs into a fiend, and is forced to run for his life until he ends up bumping into a unicorn. Owen tries his best to behave in the manner prescribed for having an encounter with magical creatures, and they talk for a while before parting ways. The next time they meet, the unicorn turns into a man with extremely large equipment. Owen can’t help from touching the unicorn shifter’s body, and they come together.
Although this story was extremely short, the world the author paints is vivid and appealing. I enjoyed reading about Owen’s pent up sexual tension and then seeing him finally get to release some of it. Though I have no problem with taboo and shifter sex, I wasn’t really able to connect with the erotic scene in this story. I really wanted there to be more, but it felt like it just scratched the surface. Owen was so sex-starved that I imagined his first sexual encounter would have been stronger, fulfilling more of his lust-filled dreams. However, before I knew it, his unicorn shifter was trotting off. Overall, this story was extremely short but pleasant.
