REVIEW:
In all honesty this was my least favorite in the whole series. But its Mary Calmes, and the Change of Heart world, and Domin, and Yuri, and werepanthers….so there was no choice but for me to like it. And I did like it. Mary Calmes’s writing is always so incredibly strong and the way she writes Alpha males who fall in love and get all squishy soft with their emotions…gets me every single time!!!
In book 3 we got a little surprise learning that Yuri and Domin were to be mated. I was definitely surprised but I wasn’t disappointed. From book 1 I absolutely fell in love with Yuri. He is the epitome of a scary gentle giant being the Enforcer of Logan and Jin’s tribe. Also, first introduced in book 1 we meet Domin and he’s a bad guy. He evokes dislike almost immediately but from early on we learn he’s misguided and really just a big sweetheart with a rough exterior.
Having been blinded by a wrong early love Domin misses what’s been right in front of his face the whole time. Yuri has been in love with Domin since their childhood and has been quietly pining for him.
In this book Yuri’s dream becomes a reality and Domin and Yuri become a mated pair. Lots of changes happen in book 3 that are being made reality in this book. Domin is learning how to lead the werepanther world with Yuri by his side. He’s noticing big holes in the way things are run in their world and together with his inner circle they try to come up with a plan to fix it.
True to Mary Calmes form there are several plot twists that only add to the intrigue of the story.
Broken record time….this series is a must read!! I would not recommend starting in the middle, you’d get lost. Get book 1, start there….work your way through the series….thank me later!!!
