LENGTH: 39 pages
BLURB:
Photographer Elliot is near the top of his field and loves his work, even if it means putting up with models like Cory: beautiful, egotistical, and aggravating. Then a photoshoot in Norway shows there’s more to Cory than Elliot thought, and he agrees to dinner despite himself.
But even if he’s not completely a brat, it’s well known Cory prefers to play rather than settle. And Elliot isn’t interested in being anyone’s toy—no matter how persuasive and persistent Cory proves to be.
REVIEW:
I really don’t know how I feel about this little story. I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it. It was just ok, for me.
Elliott is a high fashion photographer. He travels the country taking pictures of beautiful people in beautiful clothes. His risen very high in the ranks of fashion photographer and he’s very proud of what he does.
Cory is a model. Use to people admiring and commenting on his looks, he’s far from shy. He loves his life of travelling to different locales, having his picture taken, and bedding whoever strikes his fancy.
On a shoot it’s obvious that Cory is attracted to Elliott. Elliott however is not interested in his advances. Having worked with models his whole career he doesn’t have a very high opinion of them. So, the cat and mouse chase in on.
This is a very short story. We get no background whatsoever on Elliott or Cory. So it was hard to really have any feelings about them as characters. Cory seemed flighty but sincere. Elliott seemed bitter and resigned. I felt a hint of attraction but there was no explosions no real passion. There’s also no “real” on page sex. It was all muted, which just sort of made the story, eh, just ok.
I did really like the “idea” behind the story and the writing was well done. I’d be interested in a longer story about these two characters!
